In today's topic of bizarre news, a video of a ghastly-looking bird has gone viral online and has definitely ruffled some feathers.
The clip - which was shared on TikTok under the handle @pigeonstv - features the awkward-looking birdie strolling along a table with its supermodel-like legs.
It had a huge breast at full mast and a terrifying stature that appeared like a bionic robot. Its strange look was only softened by its feathered feet.
Watch the video below:The location of the clip was unconfirmed, however, the rare pigeon can be seen across Europe and the UK, according to The Mirror. The outlet stated that its distinctive build is reportedly a result of many years of selective breeding.
As of this writing, the video amassed 18.7 million views and 1.6 million likes, with many commenters shocked by the bird. One user couldn't believe the footage and said: "What in the A.I generated pigeon is that."
Another person wrote: "I will have nightmares about this thing," while a third user remarked the bird was a "nightmare fuel".
A fourth user quipped: "If I were 5 years old and you told me to draw a picture of a bird, this is what it would look like."
Meanwhile, others made comments about its long legs, with one person writing: "When you go to the gym and forget to make them legs," and a second person adding: "Me on first day of going into Gym."
A third hilariously stated: "Bro is built different."
The New York Post shared that the bird is actually called an English pouter pigeon, and they are species of the homing pigeon which are the "tallest breed of fancy pigeons with some of the biggest ones being 16 inches in height," per Backyard Poultry.
The distinctive creature is known for being able to increase its crop - the muscular pouch on the inside of its neck. In addition to this, the pouter is deemed to be the "supermodel" of the pigeon world because of its unique shape.
