Charles Dion McDowell, a convicted felon whose mugshots went viral due to his wide neck, has allegedly been arrested again in his hometown. In case you missed out on the news the first time around, on Thursday, November 15, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office posted the mugshot of McDowell on their official Facebook page. According to the post, McDowell was arrested for possession of meth and coke and has also been charged with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver the drug. After making a failed attempt to flee police, he was arrested and jailed.

The sheriff's department captioned the image: "Charles Dion McDowell was arrested for Fleeing/Eluding Police with Lights & Sirens Active, Possession of Meth with Intent to Sell/Manufacture/Deliver, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Sell/Manufacture/Deliver Schedule II, Possession of Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Equipment. McDowell is currently a guest at the GoldStar Hotel with a bond of $57,000. [sic]

However, social media users were mainly interested in McDowell's thick neck, and took to the comments to post their best neck-related gags. For instance, one person wrote: "His neck is still at LARGE!" while another chimed in: "What neck of the woods was he caught in?" Now, according to a post which featured a new mugshot, made on McDowell's fan-run Instagram page @damnwideneck, McDowell has been arrested again. This time he was busted in Pensacola, Florida after a judge "revoked his bond from his original charges."

The post read: "Tonight, Charles AKA Wideneck was arrested in his hometown of Pensacola. He didn’t get arrested on any new charges, the judge revoked his bond from his original charges. Now he has to sit in jail until his case is over with. He appreciates all the love and support from everyone in the past 2 months. Charles’ life has changed for the better for himself and his family. When all this is over with this last case, you have his word that’ll he’ll never go back to jail again! ❤️ #freewideneck."

On January 30, the same day as the Instagram post hit social media, one plucky fan decided to set up a GoFundMe page to raise some much-needed cash to pay McDowell's bail. The fundraiser was accompanied by a caption which reads: "On 1/29/19 at 8:25 pm ET, Wide Neck got arrested again in Pensacola for an active Bench Warrant. Since his last release from jail and in the past 2 months, he has been completely sober and out of the streets. He made a promise to himself that he would not go back to his old ways. We would like to raise $15,000 to help pay for his court cases and lawyers. Appreciate all the support he’s gotten so far!"
