A woman has managed to hilariously document an incident that left her having to call the police after being stuck upside down in gym equipment.

TikTok user Christine Faulds - who uses the TikTok handle @cfaulds20 - was harmlessly filming her 3:00AM gym workout when she suddenly found herself in a bit of bother.

The incident, which was documented in three separate videos, showed Faulds using the inversion table - a machine that tips the user back and upside down and can help relieve back pain and muscle spasms, according to WebMD. However, she soon became entirely stuck upside down, all the while her phone was still recording.

The first video, which has over 7 million views, shows Faulds helplessly flailing about trying to turn herself around, but to no avail. Unfortunately, she was unable to ask anyone for assistance as the incident occurred outside staff hours, and other people in the gym were in different rooms with music playing, per the New York Post.

The text in the video says: "When you have to call 9-1-1 because you get stuck on the inversion thing at 3am at the gym"

After realizing there was no way out, she was forced to call for help using her Apple watch.

"Oh, dear Lord, my ankles are burnt," she can be heard saying to the first responders, who helped turn her right-side up, before telling them: "Easiest rescue ever."

The second video shows the moment Faulds knew she was stuck, attempting to crunch up and release her feet.

"S***," she says in the video, before lowering herself back down and pausing - obviously contemplating her next move. Faulds crunches up again, calling out for her friend, Jason, who evidently can't hear her.

A final video captures the moment Faulds called the police, with the Ohioan stating: "There's only one person at the gym and I got stuck in, you know that backboard thing. I'm stuck in this reverse, like, back decompression thing.

"I think the thing went too far and I just got stuck upside-down and cannot get myself right side up," she continued telling the 911 operator. "I'm trying to get my buddy's attention but he's in the other room lifting. I'm sorry, I'm just stuck."

As per usual, the comments section was a hive of activity - with many users unable to contain their laughter at Fauld's misfortune.

One user wrote: "And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I don't exercise."

While another commented: "I'm a dispatcher and now I'm going to go to work tomorrow and look through all my nature codes for what I would put this up as because I'm stumped."

Some commenters even said they'd be too embarrassed to call 911, with one person saying: "I would've been too embarrassed and died hanging upside down."

Moral of the story? Just don't workout.
