Barack Obama clarifies his comments after making statement about aliens being ‘real’
Barack Obama has clarified what he meant when he claimed that aliens were real in a podcast interview the other day.
Obama made the earth-shattering revelation that he thinks aliens are real, and he used to be the President, so he might have a better idea than most.
Former President Barack Obama ‘confirmed’ the existence of aliens
For years, people have wondered about whether aliens have visited Earth, whether they walk among us, and whether they might be being hidden from us by the government.
While speculation continues to swirl around a potential confirmation from Donald Trump that UFOs are real, Trump’s predecessor has weighed in on the debate.
When Barack Obama says stuff, it’s usually because he really means it, too.
Speaking to Brian Tyler Cowen on his podcast, Obama confirmed that he thinks aliens are real - although perhaps not in the ‘Area 51’ or ‘Roswell, New Mexico’ way that you might think.
Obama said: “They’re real, but I haven’t seen them.
“They’re not being kept in Area 51, there’s no underground facility, unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States.”
He didn’t offer a great deal more than that.
No follow up questions were asked either, which seems strange given what he’d just said.
Area 51 - in case you aren’t aware - is a secretive military base in Nevada that has long been rumored to be keeping aliens and other secrets from the general public.
He’s teased this before, telling James Corden in 2021: “When it comes to aliens, there are some things I just can’t tell you on air.”
Obama then confirmed that UAP (Unexplained Aerial Phenomena) sightings are real, although that doesn’t necessarily mean little green dudes.
“But what is true,” he added, “and I’m actually being serious here, is that there’s footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are.”
The President later clarified his comments
Explaining his most recent remarks, Obama shared a social media post that read: "I was trying to stick with the spirit of the speed round, but since it's gotten attention let me clarify,
"Statistically, the universe is so vast that the odds are good there's life out there.
“But the distances between solar systems are so great that the chances we've been visited by aliens is low, and I saw no evidence during my presidency that extraterrestrials have made contact with us.
“Really!"
That sounds exactly like something someone who knew about aliens in Area 51 would say…
