According to a new statement from the Ogun State Police Command, two people lost their lives in the crash.
Anthony Joshua was among those injured and was transported, along with other victims, to what officials describe as “an undisclosed hospital.”
Local reports suggest the boxer was in the area visiting his ancestral hometown when the crash occurred.
An eyewitness told Nigerian outlet The Punch that Joshua was seated behind the driver, with another person sitting next to him.
