Everything we know as television host's 19-year-old daughter is found dead in LA

The sudden death of Emman Atienza, a 19-year-old model and digital creator, has left fans, friends, and the online community reeling. The youngest daughter of Filipino television personality Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza and Felicia Hung, Emman was found dead in her Los Angeles home on October 22, 2025. Her family confirmed the loss two days later, releasing a heartfelt public statement.

Known for her candid approach to mental health and her strong online presence, Emman had become a source of inspiration for many of her peers. She had been open about her personal challenges and used her platforms to build an inclusive, compassionate space for young people navigating similar issues.

A voice for her generation

Born on February 8, 2006, Emmanuelle “Emman” Atienza quickly became a familiar face on TikTok and Instagram. She was also part of GMA’s Sparkle Artist Center, described by the agency as an “up-and-coming influencer, fashion lover, and Gen Z personality.” She embraced her Filipino and Taiwanese heritage and stood out for her distinct English accent, which earned her the nickname “Cono Final Boss” among her fans.

Despite her prominent family background - her father is a well-known broadcaster and her grandfather, Lito Atienza, is a former mayor of Manila Emman carved out her own identity. She had a passion for fashion and studied at the Parsons Summer Academy in New York. In 2022, she walked the runway during Bench Fashion Week. A fitness enthusiast, she had also been involved in gymnastics and ballet during her school years.

Her social media posts combined fashion, humor, and thoughtful commentary on mental health. Many of her followers connected deeply with her openness about therapy, bullying, and self-image. She started therapy at the age of 12 and often spoke about her experiences in an effort to help others feel less alone.


Family confirms loss as community mourns

On October 24, her family released a statement saying: “It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman. She brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her. Emman had a way of making people feel seen and heard, and she wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health. Her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.”

The statement was signed by her parents and siblings: Kim, Feli, Jose, and Eliana. It concluded with a message encouraging others to honor Emman’s legacy: “To honor Emman’s memory, we hope you carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage, and a little extra kindness in your everyday life.”

The cause of death has not been officially confirmed by the family. However, reports from Los Angeles County cited ligature hanging. The family has requested privacy as the investigation continues.

Emman’s agency, Sparkle GMA Artist Centre, also paid tribute: “Our sincere condolences go out to her family and loved ones. She will always be remembered as a cherished part of the Sparkle family.”

At just 19, Emman Atienza had already left a significant impression on her generation by being unapologetically herself. Her story, her voice, and her bravery in talking about difficult subjects will continue to resonate with those she inspired.
