Man with the world’s highest IQ shares unexpected revelation about the existence of God

A man who boasts the world's highest IQ has shared a revelation about whether or not God exists that has left his followers floored.

The existence of a higher power is something humanity has debated for centuries as many people turn to religion to find meaning.

While scientists may cast doubt on whether a god truly exists, people of faith believe that there is a deity that created and looks after the world that they will one day meet in the afterlife.

So if anyone were able to give an informed take on whether such a higher power is real, you'd assume it'd be the person with the highest IQ in the world.

South Korean scientist YoungHoon Kim is known as the world's current "most intelligent" person, with an IQ of 276.

The average IQ is said to be around 100 with anything over 140 classed as "genius" level. Albert Einstein's IQ was reportedly 160, while Voltaire and Isaac Newton both scored around 200, William Shakespeare was 210, and Leonardo da Vinci was 220.

In April 2024, the Giga Society for people with IQs above 190 claimed YoungHoon Kim had scored 276, making him the most intelligent person in the world on paper.

Kim, who scored perfect marks on a number of tests to measure high intelligence, and also serves as an intelligence specialist advisor at the World Mind Sports Council, World Memory Championships, World Speed-Reading Championship, and World Mind Mapping Championship, and is the president and executive director at the United Sigma Intelligence Association (USIA).

Kim took to X (formerly Twitter) this week to share his belief on the existence of God, writing: "God is real 100% and Jesus is God. - World's Highest IQ 276 Holder."

He reiterated the message in a video shared alongside the post.

It's not the first time Kim has spoken about religion, previously saying: "Christ is my logic," adding that he plans to use his platform to lead others to faith.

Kim also holds a theology degree from Seoul's Yonsei University, which he called "the ultimate discipline of all fields of study.”

When discussing the possibility of an afterlife, Kim revealed that it aligns with science using quantum physics and theories of consciousness, explaining: "If reality is part of something bigger, then death is not the end, but a transition."

He added: "Our death is not destruction, but change and shift. Humanity will keep searching for the truth about what comes after."

People took to the comments to share their thoughts on his post, writing: "Ok, so surely a man of your IQ can present some evidence, right? Right?"

Others added: "Just curious - as the man with the highest recorded IQ, what was it that convinced you that God is real and Christianity is the true faith?" and: "God is only one or can be more than one?"

Another wrote: "IQ scores don’t turn belief into proof…. And absolute certainty is not a flex. It’s a tell. Faith isn’t diminished by doubt — it’s diminished by pretending doubt doesn’t exist."
