A model has gone viral on social media for claiming that sunbathing her genitals for two hours each day helps to boost her libido.

Per the New York Post, 23-year-old Brazilian model and influencer Letícia Martins (who goes by the name Lunna LeBlanc online) took to her official Instagram account this week to post a very racy picture of herself soaking up some rays.

The image Lunna shared with her 14,400 followers shows her lying completely nude on a balcony on a hot and cloudless day, with her hand covering her crotch.

According to the New York Post, the picture was captioned in Portuguese: "Nothing better than a morning sun."

Lunna continued:

"Did you know that exposing your private parts to the sun can provide you with more energy, increase your libido, improve circadian rhythm (which regulates the entire functioning of the human body) and still help you get a good night’s sleep?

"What did you think of this experience?"

Although Lunna's picture has managed to accrue over 1,200 likes since being posted, some commenters were skeptical of her claims as to the benefits of the practice and worried about the increased risk of skin cancer caused by overexposure to the sun.

For example, according to The Post, one commenter wrote: "If you want to upload more juicy content do it but don’t mess with practices that can be fatal. Don't mislead your followers.

Indeed, experts in the past have warned about overexposure and cautioned nude sunbathers to be careful.

For instance, speaking to Insider, Dr. Diana Gall of Doctor-4-U stated: "There is no evidence that sunbathing in this way has any effect on physical wellbeing.

"Yes, practicing mindfulness and meditation, and getting your dose of Vitamin D, is beneficial for mental and physical health, but you don't need to damage your skin in the process from sun exposure."

Gall added: "Practicing mindfulness comes in many different and safer forms, and there are no extra benefits of doing this naked in the sun."
