Starbucks has issued a formal statement in response to a staff member's complaint about a customer's order.
According to Fox News, the controversial post was made by a barista going by the handle @ProjectJoisee, who took to Twitter to share a picture of a customer's extremely specific beverage request which he took issue with.

Responding to the incident, a spokesperson for the coffee giant later told the Fox:
"Customizing beverages at Starbucks and our baristas' expertise in helping customers find and craft the right beverage has, and always will be, the heart of the Starbucks Experience.
"There are many ways for customers to modify their favorite beverage at Starbucks and most customizations are reasonable requests from customers."
The original tweet shows a receipt listing the sale of a double blended Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino, featuring five pieces of banana, extra caramel, extra whip, extra ice, extra cinnamon, extra caramel crunch, and heavy cream.
In an accompanying caption, @ProjectJoisee wrote: "On today's episode of why I wanna quit my job."
His post quickly picked up a lot of attention, racking up over 336,000 likes and 52,000 retweets from other Twitter users before being deleted.
One Twitter user wrote: "Edward's order feels like a display of extravagance that invites the wrath of a vengeful deity."
Another person commented: "Whatever happened to just a cup of coffee in the morn? I wish I had the time in the morning just to give that complicated order [sic]"
Someone else then chimed in: "Now you know why he placed a 'mobile order'. Even he, the consumer of the drink is too embarrassed to order that drink in person."
This Twitter user then agreed, writing: "I knew it had to be an app order. No one would order that out loud making eye contact."
It clearly resonated with other frustrated baristas who empathized with the situation and promptly tweeted images of similar past experiences of their own:
As if this wasn't bad enough PR, the same barista then shared a video of himself driving to work in his Starbucks uniform on TikTok and seemingly voiced further complaints about allegedly pedantic customers.
Take a look at their TikTok video here:Alongside the clip, the disgruntled employee wrote: "On my way to get verbally harassed by Karens.
"Because I didn't make their overpriced venti skinny vanilla latte, no foam, extra-hot, extra-whip, upside down, made with devil's tears the RIGHT WAY and their cup of water. [sic]"
