Samsung has unveiled a gigantic 292-inch TV dubbed The Wall.

However, this is simply a larger version of a TV unveiled earlier this year (also called The Wall), which came in at a comparatively modest size of 219 inches.

As the name suggests, this is a TV designed to create a full-on cinematic experience - covering the walls of users.

However, on the off chance that you buy The Wall and decide you want to make it smaller (different strokes for different folks), it's "configurable and customizable" and can be reduced to a size of 73 inches with 2K definition.

But if you go for the 292-inch monster, you can enjoy it in 8K definition.

Don't worry about your regular shows not matching up with the quality, either. The Wall automatically "upscales" them.

In a seemingly-not-so-environmentally-friendly move, The Wall is designed to be on forever, containing self-emitting diodes with a 100,000 hour lifetime.

This doesn't mean you have to watch TV 24/7. Instead, when it's not in use, The Wall will revert to "ambient mode" and display a series of customizable images.

It's surprisingly thin too and has a depth of just 30mm.

Vice president of product marketing for Samsung Electronics America, Mark Quiroz, said: "Throughout the last twelve months, we've closely monitored interior design and technology trends to shape the product planning and development of The Wall Luxury.

"We set out to create a product unlike anything else - matching the lifestyle and taste of those looking for the most exclusive and premium visual experiences in their homes."

As if the above wasn't already impressive enough, The Wall is fitted with AI technology Samsung has described as an "AI picture quality engine, Quantum Processor Flex."

"A machine learning-based picture quality engine, Quantum Processor Flex delivers optimized picture quality scene-by-scene regardless of the original source format. The processor analyses image data to automatically calibrate the original lower resolution content to align with the modular screen's resolution."

The Wall is set to go on sale in July.

However, before you get too excited, it will come with a hefty price tag. The closest spec TV currently on sale is the 98-inch Q950R 8K QLED, which retails for $126,749 (£99,999).
