This afternoon Vanessa Trump filed for divorce from her husband, businessman and American Psycho cosplayer Donald Trump, Jr. Their marital problems were first reported yesterday by the New York tabloid Page Six. According to their sources, they "have been living separate lives" because "Don's never there" and he "has appeared to have changed recently." One cause of concern is his controversial online behavior. For example, after the Parkland school shooting, he "liked" a tweet promoting a malicious conspiracy theory about one of the teenage survivors.
Since Donald Trump became president, Donald Trump Jr. has developed a public persona as a right-wing provocateur. On social media and on cable news, he has ardently defended his father, and slammed Trump critics. He's also deeply embroiled in the Russian collusion scandal, having admitted to setting up a meeting with a Russian lawyer to get damaging information on Hillary Clinton. As such, Don Jr. has been fair game for mockery, and with his marriage on the rocks, his wedding photo went viral.
Due to the Trump men's glassy-eyed expressions and creepy smiles, many Twitter users thought the photo gave off a chilling vibe. Then, the memes came rolling in. With a simple filter change, the photo looks even creepier - like a painting hanging in The Shining's Overlook Hotel.

You go through a town ... and, I don't want to be glib but you can see the poorest of the poor and there is still a smile on a face. ... I know some of the most successful people in the world and some of them are the most miserable people in the world."
