Yet when it comes down to it, this young generation has some unique challenges to face, all while the prospect of nuclear annihilation and political chaos hangs overhead. And where's better to go to vent these struggles than Reddit? In this AskReddit thread, one user asked the "Millennials of Reddit" what lies they were told growing up. As you can expect, many of these are genuine societal disappointments, and others are straight up ridiculous.
1. The future will bring more jobs

It is mad to think that all that time that this generation spent messing around on
computers ended up being pretty essential to working in most industries today. On the other hand, I imagine some of you reading aren't taking the words of someone called 'Dubalubawubwub' that seriously.
