1. You're allowed to say what you don't like
No two people will experience sex in the same way, so it's important for you to say what you do and don't like in the bedroom. Otherwise, your partner could be leaving you unsatisfied without even knowing it.
2. Hygiene matters
Just because you're going to be getting all up in someone else's junk, doesn't mean you don't have to adhere to normal hygiene rules. Make sure your body is clean, your hands are washed, and your mouth isn't all funky - sort of like you're dressing up for a fancy meal, but your clothes will come off instead of going on.
3. Ain't no excuse for not wearing a condom
If someone asks you to wear a condom, you have to do it. Otherwise, that's a breach of consent, that is the last thing you want to be doing when someone has trusted you with their body.
4. Porn is fake
Ok, it's not entirely fake; but it certainly isn't a good reflection of how the deed goes down in the real world. Clever editing, hot women, and enough money to convince the porn stars to look like they're enjoying themselves can make a blue movie appear to be great, but nobody really acts like that in real life.
5. It can cause feelings
A lot of people have friends with benefits or certain arrangements with bedroom buddies, but a lot of those sorts of low-key relationships sometimes turn into the real deal. However, one thing to consider when getting into a "casual" affair is that the hormones released during sex can cause you to really care about the other person, even if you didn't think you did before. So maybe wait for them to simmer down before making any huge decisions about where you stand with someone.
6. Pee afterwards
Seriously guys, unless you want to be taking a trip to the doctor because you got a UTI, you really need to pee after the fun's over.
6. There's no shame in using lube
Some people are totally fine with getting by without using any artificial lubrication, but others aren't. Like I said earlier: sex is different for everyone. If your body is telling you that it's ok to proceed in boarding the one-way train to bone town, then it's totally acceptable for you to use some lube if you're having trouble getting started.
7. Masturbation is fine
Let's be real, though: you'd still do it if it wasn't.
8. Contraceptives are serious business
We've already mentioned condoms, but other forms of contraceptives are just as important. Make sure to take any pills/go through any procedures exactly as the doctor has recommended. Skipping one pill might seem harmless, but it could end up in a pregnancy.
9. Foreplay matters
Not only does foreplay help to get you both warmed up, so to speak, it also helps the couple bond. Skipping this would be like having a main meal without that delicious starter, or trying to run a marathon without warming up first. So don't skip it.
10. It isn't all about penetration
Here's a fun fact for you guys: 75 percent of women can't climax from penetration alone. You know what that means? 75 percent of women's partners need to do something about it.
