"Rules are made to be broken" isn't exactly true all the time, seeing how many rules are put in place to ensure order and safety in our lives, but there are definitely some rules we all would love to ignore and disregard. Some have more confidence with this than others, pushing boundaries and rejecting rules that they don't believe are just.
There's something invigorating about seeing this kind of thing in the world, but it is even more satisfying when the way someone has side-stepped laws, guidelines and regulations is by finding a neat little loophole. Sometimes this is to do what you want without technically breaking the rules, and sometimes it's just a wilful misunderstanding for the laughs. The people below are experts at this kind of thing.
1. Agree to disagree
2. A strange request
3. Disappointed customer
4. Taking it literally
5. Seems a bit harsh
6. Making a statement
7. An alternative solution
8. This store looks so much fun
9. Asking for abuse
10. Everyone's in on it
11. Beautiful name
12. An abstract approach
13. She fulfilled his request
14. Was this a joke or a mistake?
15. A tight squeeze
I'm starting to think that this kind of behaviour, while it won't exactly help you get things done, would make things a lot more fun along the way. I mean if I were a girl who got that photo request, I would definitely respond that way. A genius move for sure. If you want more laughs, you should definitely check out this list of hilariously awkward photos
Customers can be total jerks. It's no secret, especially if you've worked in retail. Customers are often not the most socially enlightened when it comes to etiquette and often behave in manners uncouth and down-right wrong towards waiters, bartenders, retail workers and many, many more. Sometimes though, people behave in such a way that some form of retaliation is inevitable and most of the time, it's very amusing. Case in point...

is...
...way too real.
[post_page_title]#24 Bringing Your Kid With You To An Adult Toy Shop[/post_page_title]
I am astounded. Not only do people not want to imagine anyone they know taking part in carnal pleasures, but when it's your parents, it really takes the biscuit.
Usually, it's a simple "ewwwwww, shut up!" and all is defused. However...
[caption id="attachment_4566" align="aligncenter" width="800"]

... things such as this also happen.
*shudder*
[post_page_title]#25 Someone Put Out Their Cigarette In A Dog Dish Outside This Local Shop...[/post_page_title]
It's a nice touch when businesses leave water bowls for our four-legged furry life partners.
[caption id="attachment_4567" align="aligncenter" width="800"]
Credit: Reddit / MonsterThumb101[/caption]
This, however, is just ignorant, and I should think what makes this worse, is that there was a cigarette bin just out of shot.
Shame, shammmmeeeee, SHAAAAAMMMMEEEEEE!
Poor woofers!
[post_page_title]#25 Decided They Didn’t Want Their Bag Of Frozen Chicken Breasts So Why Not Leave Them Here To Drip Over Everything Below It[/post_page_title]
Food hygiene is a must in the modern world, and it's something that more and more people are aware of now. It's only beneficial really.

Or, as it happens, apparently not.
Mmmmm, tasty stomach quivering oatmeal cremes, you can really taste the meat protein, just how I like them!
[post_page_title]#25 Customer Left This Note Instead Of Tip[/post_page_title]
Once again, the service industry is an absolute institution in the modern world and an industry myself and many others have absolute open respect for! The key and operative word there is "many", a word that implies "not all".
[caption id="attachment_4569" align="aligncenter" width="800"]
Credit: Imgur / BallsackHippo[/caption]
I'm calling it! It's time to reinstate conscription! I've had enough! Three years of compulsory work in food and service! Humour and deserved shaming and calling out aside, this would teach people like this smug individual some manners.
[post_page_title]#26 When You Steal A Bra From The Store, But Replace It With Your Old One[/post_page_title]
Of all the resources I have at my disposal for this list of absolute astonishment and resulting solidarity, it is here that near the end, I have chosen to "step it up a notch" - sorry! - size.

Some people see the world through "try before you buy" spectacles.

It is said that the new line of "try-specs" also comes with an engraving that reads: "Don't fret, someone else will sort that for you".
[post_page_title]#28 Customer Leaves Dirty Diaper On Restaurant Table For Waitress To Dispose Of[/post_page_title]
Once again, this one strikes a little personal resonation, of which I will tell you why once your disbelief at the title has dissipated post-scroll.

A customer at my previous bar did nearly the very same, putting a used diaper filled to bursting in the dry-waste bin nested in a central location.

[post_page_title]#29 Someone Just Made This Mess, Dropped A Few Napkins On It, And Then Left...[/post_page_title]

[caption id="attachment_4574" align="aligncenter" width="800"]
Credit: Reddit / illicitz[/caption]
What makes this even worse is not only the mess itself, but the overtly sub-par manner in which the person in question has hastily and very, very poorly thrown some napkins down and made a quick exit.
You'd just go up and say something surely?! No? Just me? Urgh.
[post_page_title]#30 What Is It In Your Cleavage... At The Grocery Store?[/post_page_title]
Scroll down slowly for this one and prepare yourself.
Had I not ended this list of ten multiplied by three with this image, I would have failed you all, let alone myself. In all honesty, I had to stare at this one for far more than I would have liked, simply take it all in before pondering (again, for far too long), HOW this has even happened?!

Once I had ascertained that this indeed WASN'T baguette or parsnip and settled on the reality of its phallic nature, it only served to propagate more and more questions.
I've seen some things in my time working behind bars and in restaurants, but this list has been an interesting read.
Don't be like these people.
Cameras in the modern world are a wondrous thing. No matter the context of what you're trying to capture, doing so is readily available and leaves you wondering how we really miss anything at all. This could be someone performing a juvenile but distracting rendition of something they saw on YouTube or, in this case, your boss being a jerk to varying degrees. Here's 30 (quite possibly) close to home examples.
[post_page_title]#1 'So My Boss Calls Me To A Meeting On My Day Off, Then Asks Me To Arrange The Meeting Room'[/post_page_title]
This hits very close to home for this wordsmith. Until recently, every single manager's meeting I was "asked" to attend was on a day where I was unsurprisingly not scheduled. You're sat there, maybe dressed, maybe not, eating, playing a game - it matters not, it happens and it does matter. To you. So you get your own back in any way you can...

[post_page_title]#2 'After Receiving A $50 Gift Card For Walmart As A Christmas Gift From My Boss, I Was Happy Until I Saw That It Had Been Deducted From My Paycheck'[/post_page_title]
Reddit user JDMRexTI was probably feeling thankful this near to the festive season with a few extra gold coins but her Boss had their back covered, their back and their profit and loss margin. When it comes to expenses and apparent generosity from companies, stay vigilant.

[post_page_title]#3 'Artists At My Local Tattoo Shop Left This For Their Boss After Finding A Motion Detector That Records Video In The Unisex BR'[/post_page_title]
The Tattoo shop that ProfessorPancakes and their fellow skin-scribblers worked at very much went one step beyond a safe and secure monitored premises and chose to quite pervertedly record their little microcosm of humanity during their private time in the shared bathroom. Not cool Hefe, not cool at all.

[post_page_title]#4 'My Boss Said "No" Too Many Times. He Forced My Hand. I Quit! Now While He's Miserable. My Feet Are In The Sand. F Him'[/post_page_title]
Reddit user ObservationOrSpeculation, in the spirit of the Rage Against The Machine cover I may now go and write, encourages you to do one thing in her image - "you gotta take the hours back". F him indeed in another workplace victory over microcosmic Totalitarian overlords.

[post_page_title]#5 'My Coworker Went All Wet Seal On Our Boss Today'[/post_page_title]
Having a few tipples too many doesn't always go well and it's something you're entering precarious territory doing. This boss didn't want to work the opening shift so let this drunk-skunk off a serious offense. JordanAsshole wouldn't put up with it and left this brilliant note. [post_page_title]#6 'So I Bring A Pecan Pie To Work. By Noon It Was Missing. Found It A Few Hours Later In My Boss's Office'[/post_page_title]
The one thing employees since time immemorial yearn for slap-bag in the middle of their shift is the time when they can procure delicious comestibles. Bosses have some established prerogatives within context, and this sadly was very important in the disappearance of Ciclismo4185's Pecan Pie. I hope you shoved something else down his pie-hole!

[post_page_title] #7 'Secret Recording Device Under Break Room Table At Work' [/post_page_title]
These control-freaks were assuming and betting that Egomzez and Co. felt this very idealized comfort and trust in their lunch-hour. Alas, they were mistaken and their bubble was burst. Nothing is as it seems. In truth, if these head-honchos were that worried, then that's pretty indicative of their own ineptitude as higher-ups, is it not?

[post_page_title] #8 'One Of A Seemingly Endless Series Of Unreasonable Notes Left By My Boss. It’s Great Here' [/post_page_title]
Do I really need to comment too overtly on this attitude of this Boss? Fun notes are fun, these types of notes are funnier. I wish you many more entertaining literature to lessen the Jerk-force-trauma Rich-P. At least we know who is - in charge. I'm here all week.

[post_page_title] #9 'Our Boss Doesn't Let Us Take Any Home!' [/post_page_title]
Close to home? Remember that trigger-warning? This Boss I can with the utmost certainty has and will trigger a great many with this Jerk-action. *Note, regrettably this is not the tasty Jerk of the Carribean*. Leftovers in the service industry often feed the hungry bellies of the staff working at impossibly calculated speeds to serve the most difficult of humans or even those less fortunate.

[post_page_title] #10 'This Structural Pole My Boss Refuses To Fix'[/post_page_title]
And we're back! Profit and loss margins and laziness are back on pole for number ten, supplemented and propped up (badly) by this tasty and top-heavy looking support column. Priorities are usually more related to fiscal capability than the safety and I'm sure the builders, surveyors, and architects among us are now questioning their own structural integrity.

[post_page_title] #12 'Shift Manager At My Work Was Just Diagnosed With Colon Cancer, Our Store Manager Put This Sign Out A Week Later' [/post_page_title]
Despite progress in the way in which bosses treat their underlings, severe lack of regard for emotions, etiquette, circumstances culminated in a sheer impenetrable wall of apathy is what many of those working under the big-ones will often experience. [post_page_title] #14 'My Boss Installed An IP Camera At The Store To Spy On Us When He's Away. I Retaliated With This Rig' [/post_page_title]
Surveillance has been a key theme thus far, so has distrustful, hypochondriac bosses lording over their kingdoms, hell-bent on stamping out any words of dissent. Or something like that. Can a picture paint a thousand words? Yes, yes it can and this boss found out the hard way.

[post_page_title] #15 'My Boss Was Deathly Serious When He Posted This. Looks Like I'm Spending Some Quality Time At Work This Year' [/post_page_title]
This is another image that speaks for itself. This boss clearly has no respect for the lives of their employees likely down to the fact that their Jobsworth tunnel-vision doesn't even allow them a life. Fly, EyeOfOwl fly.

[post_page_title] #16 'Quit My Job Yesterday Because I Was Tired Of The Unprofessional Environment - Got This Text From My Supervisor Today' [/post_page_title]
There are momentary lapses where professionalism often gets carried away in a maelstrom of swearing or whatever is deemed unprofessional wherever you may be but you know it's bad when you are presented with such a message AFTER you've declared yourself DONE.

[post_page_title] #17 'This Is The Drinking Water Filter At My Work. It's Been Getting Darker By The Day But My Boss Insists It's Doing Its Job Still' [/post_page_title]
Now this one, if you've been paying attention between either laughing or relating a little too much, is eerily similar to one of the prior moronic examples of jerk bosses. Did you guess correctly? Is this the same boss from #10? For their sake, I hope it isn't. For not only is their already someone on the hunt for their hide but the second now also in tow is a velociraptor and I've seen Jurassic Park.

[post_page_title] #18 'Leave Work For One Day And My Boss Replaced My Large Monitor That I Use To Make Prototype Models And Engravings On Products With This Tiny One' [/post_page_title]
Reddit user BrokenDice16 is clearly not valued and neither is their time. Above the sense of inflated self-importance of her boss that is. Rachel's boss at Bloomingdale's maybe? Am I losing some of the younger crowd now? Getting old is rubbish. I'll shut up now. BrokenDice16 you'll have to squint a little when caricaturing your overload for now.

[post_page_title] #19 'My Brothers GF Sent Him This From Her Workplace, This Is What Her Boss Posted' [/post_page_title]
I won't even parody this one because A) what would be the point? and B) This boss's proof of Jerkdom applicability is not one to be taken lightly.

[post_page_title] #20 'Came To Work To Find That My Boss Threw Away Everyone’s Desks And Replaced Them With Dressers, A Sheet Of Glass, And Saddle Chairs' [/post_page_title]
I feel such a connection to col3s1aw as I write these words. Jury-rigging in the workplace is usually never short of chuckle-prompting but this boss has taken being a jerk to precarious and hilarious (after the initial what the *rude word* moment) to a new unprecedented level of stupid.

[post_page_title] #21 'My Boss Thought It Would Be A Good Idea To Play Drag Racing. On His iPad. While Driving A Truck. On The Highway' [/post_page_title]
Maybe this boss has been watching far too much Fast and Furious, Death Race and Talledega Knights between shifts. This isn't really the place to indulge in drag racing fantasies when a life is in your hands Capo, come on now.

[post_page_title] #22 'The Way My Boss Asked Me To Order Her More Pens Like This One. I'm Sure She's Just Bluffing.......' [/post_page_title]
I'll be honest, as a localized individual act, this one isn't too bad. It's almost endearing if you happen to be a good mood but if you examing deeper, further into the depths of yet another work-based microcosm then it's almost cataclysmic to your person irritants and triggers. If you delve that is, which we are and by delve, I mean scroll to see the whole message in its passive to blatant aggression.

[post_page_title] #23 'My Christmas Gift From My Boss. Fortune 500 Company. No Christmas Bonus, Post It Notes, 2 Pieces Of Chocolate, Pen, Jeans One Day' [/post_page_title]
It's nice to feel appreciated during the Christmas period but sadly, the boss of one apocalypse31 and quote possibly all their own "superiors" clearly feel that coveting wealth is far more in their interests than those on the line earning the gold coins. I hope you had a good Christmas apocalypse31 and proceeded to leave coal throughout your bosses' office.

[post_page_title] #24 'Work For Multimillion-Dollar Company. Employer Refuses To Pay For Drinking Water. Group Of Employees Decides To Pitch-In And Pay' [/post_page_title]
Reddit user Why_Joo_So_Cheap snapped this wonderfully indicative photo show a company, not one for treating their employees well at all even down to basic hydration. The boss or bosses responsible for this note may well need some other liquids added to their water supply. Let your imaginations wander.

[post_page_title] #25 'The Temperature My Boss Keeps The Office At' [/post_page_title]
Now as much as it's been an unspoken obvious theme on this list of surprisingly commonly seen insanity, the word "illegal" gets thrown around a lot these days and I feel it is now that I must use it. This boss is clearly very cold-blooded via more than one definition.

[post_page_title] #26 'If You Park Like This... You Are My Boss, So I Can't Say Anything' [/post_page_title]
Do you find the attitude of your boss is a little, presumptuous and inflated as a result of their elevated station, even if sometimes said elevation away from the "plebs" is actually somewhat minuscule? Well...

[post_page_title] #27 'Complained To My Boss And Received This Minutes Later' [/post_page_title]
I cannot begin to explain what is so unambiguously, unequivocally obtuse about the action of the next boss in our long-line of interesting behavior and jerk-arsery. In all truth, this is utterly appalling and perhaps the worst example of how power can produce real abhorrent and repugnant behavior in today's working society.

[post_page_title] #28 'My Boss Ordered A Box Of 6000 Pepper Packets Instead Of A Shaker, So Now I Get To Spend My Saturday Cutting Open Packets For Our Burger Seasoning' [/post_page_title]

[post_page_title] #30 'My Boss Wears His $50,000 Green Diamond Ring To Work, Laying Asphalt' [/post_page_title]
I was half-expecting to be pushing my word-limit to its absolute limit with this last in our unloving and unlovable list but here we are. This is exactly as it looks Bossery-Jerkery at its purest form.
[caption id="attachment_2249" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Not everyone abides by social rules. Some people, in fact, go out of their way to defy them. Hotel staff and Airbnb hosts are perhaps the most qualified to confirm this claim, having rented their rooms to some of the rudest guests imaginable. From dirty diapers to stashed fingernails, here are 30 of the most disgusting guests you wouldn't want staying in your home!
[post_page_title]Clearly a Wild Night...[/post_page_title]
I'm sure the maids were cursing this hotel guest, who evidently threw a wild party the night before and didn't bother to tidy up after themselves. Their neighbors can't have gotten much sleep judging by the state of that room!
[caption id="attachment_2323" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/DonKeedick[/caption]
I just want to know what was happening for that bed to end up like that!
[post_page_title]Alcoholic Artwork[/post_page_title]
This one is interesting. When cleaning a room after a guest had left, this wondrous work of art: a smiley face compiled entirely out of empty beer bottles. As cute as it is, I doubt this made whoever discovered it smile...
[caption id="attachment_2325" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/EnemySoil[/caption]
I personally think that this should be placed in a museum somewhere to be admired by everyone.
[post_page_title]Room Service[/post_page_title]
The general rule with room service is that you leave the tray outside your door when you're done. This guest clearly didn't get the memo. They also seem to have emptied their bin onto the floor and taken off with the bed. Lovely.
[caption id="attachment_2326" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/et-tuBrute[/caption]
They clearly have no regard for the people that have clean all of this up or the people booked into that room after them.
[post_page_title]A Beautiful Painting[/post_page_title]
This guest apparently didn't enjoy the artwork that was hung in their room, deciding to take it upon themselves to give it an upgrade. Whilst I think that this guests art is a stroke of pure genius, I don't think the owner would agree.
[caption id="attachment_2328" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/Is_It_Me_or_Not[/caption]
Here's hoping it's only going to take a wet cloth to get rid of that...
[post_page_title]Do Not Disturb[/post_page_title]
One of the more disgusting images on this list, this guest decided that a "Do Not Disturb" sign would not suffice and chose to hang a condom from his door handle instead. I'm sure it served its purpose well.
[caption id="attachment_2329" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/ittporaabocs[/caption]
I think we can all agree that we hope it was at least a new one and not something more sinister.
[post_page_title]I Feel Like We've Left Something Behind...[/post_page_title]
We've all forgotten something in a hotel or an Airbnb - a hairbrush, a toothbrush, maybe a pair of socks. This guest forgot something BIG. Maybe it was left as a gift for the owner?
[caption id="attachment_2331" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/LemmeHaveName[/caption]
Imagine finding that in your bed after checking in. I'd think it was a giant pink snake.
[post_page_title]Personal Dump[/post_page_title]
This guest obviously couldn't be bothered to make a trip to the dump and instead decided it would be acceptable to bring their rubbish to a hotel and leave it for the maids to clean up.
[caption id="attachment_2332" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit:Reddit/LoopyIntellect[/caption]
I suppose these guests at least put their trash in bags, unlike others on this list.
[post_page_title]Love in an Elevator[/post_page_title]
These guests are clearly Aerosmith fans. On their way back to their room from a rave, these two love birds were overcome with desire and decided that they couldn't wait to get back upstairs to have some fun.
[caption id="attachment_2333" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/manwatchingfire[/caption]
That railing really doesn't look like the most comfortable thing to sit on...
[post_page_title]FYI[/post_page_title]
This is the kindest item on this list by far. Dylan Wilson was clearly thinking of his room's next tenants when he wrote them this note explaining the origins of the mysterious stains on the bedsheets.
[caption id="attachment_2334" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/O851D14N1[/caption]
This is genuinely so sweet. Why can't all of these guests be more like Dylan?
[post_page_title]Sticky Fingers[/post_page_title]
Perhaps the biggest risk when putting your house on Airbnb is guests stealing from you. This guest apparently thought she was entitled to take whatever she wanted when she left, taking to social media to brag about her thievery.
[caption id="attachment_2339" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/official_DJRoomba[/caption]
The fact that she had the audacity to show this off is astounding to me.
[post_page_title]Spelling Error[/post_page_title]
Ladies and gentlemen, someone really wrote this and left it in their room. The note reads: "Sorry about the towels everywhere! And the seamen!" Unless there is a pirate waiting in the bathroom, I think there's a spelling mistake in there.
[caption id="attachment_2341" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/Omnifire[/caption]
I love that the "seamen" was an afterthought to the messy towels. Priorities.
[post_page_title]Orange You Glad They Stayed?[/post_page_title]
One of the nicest things about Airbnb is that you are given access to a whole host of facilities, including your own fridge to store food in. This guest took advantage of these perks but apparently forgot to take their food with them when they left.
[caption id="attachment_2343" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/OniTheOddOne[/caption]
One of those oranges has been in that fridge for so long it's become cannibalistic!
[post_page_title]Pop Off Nails[/post_page_title]
Probably the picture I find most repulsive on this list, this guest clearly didn't want to get her nails wet in the pool. Instead, she pulled off all of her press-on nails and left them scattered by the poolside.
[caption id="attachment_2345" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/Ravkav[/caption]
The big question is, where are the other three nails? Floating in the pool, I imagine.
[post_page_title]Pizza Party[/post_page_title]
I was under the impression that everybody loved pizza. This guest clearly didn't. He apparently hated his pizza so much that he decided to throw it around the corridor of his Airbnb. I'm almost certain that alcohol was involved in this.
[caption id="attachment_2347" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/rohnsalmons[/caption]
That pile of crumbled pizza is honestly such a sad sight. RIP.
[post_page_title]Self Love[/post_page_title]
This one has to be a joke. This guest apparently decided that they wanted to proudly showcase what they had done with their time in their room. If I were cleaning that room, I wouldn't go near those tissues with a ten-foot pole.
[caption id="attachment_2349" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/ronbog[/caption]
I guess they could have been using the tissues to wipe up the lotion...
[post_page_title]This Is Just Cruel[/post_page_title]
A nightmare situation for anyone working in the service industry, okay, anyone, is finding a dead body, and, unfortunately, whether it's the result of mother nature or something more sinister, can and does happen...
[caption id="attachment_2547" align="aligncenter" width="600"]
Credit: Reddit/Punches_TheElderly[/caption]
Needless to say, the guy who decided to play a prank on the staff at this hotel is the cruelest of the cruel. Here's hoping none of them had preexisting heart conditions!
[post_page_title]The Customer Is Always Right...[/post_page_title]
It's often said that the customer is always right, but anyone who has worked in the service industry knows that this is far from the case. Like this guy...

[post_page_title]Damaged Property[/post_page_title]
Hotels are businesses like any other and to make money, guests can't be damaging their property left, right and center, which is why the parents of the kids who did this have a sin to answer for...

[post_page_title]This 'Great Tip'[/post_page_title]
If you're a person with a vagina, you'll know that time of the month can hit you unexpectedly, but under no circumstances does this mean this is a good idea. Just buy some new underwear!

"Found a great tip," wrote Reddit user Torasaurusx. "Staying in a hotel, that time of the month comes out of the blue. Forgot to pack knickers so came up with a good way to quickly wash them. The hotel kettle! Quick, fast and hygienic. Just call me Mcgyver."
[post_page_title]Bold-Faced Robbery[/post_page_title]
For many, one of the perks of going to a hotel is taking the miniatures home with you. Little bottles of shampoo and body wash always come in handy at a later date. But these guys took this concept too far...

[post_page_title]There's A Time And A Place[/post_page_title]
There's nothing wrong with looking at adult entertainment, but because of its explicit nature, it's material that should be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home and not in a hotel lobby.

[post_page_title]Animal Behavior[/post_page_title]
It's a given that parents should try to set the best possible example for their kids from an early age, something the guardian of this baby clearly hasn't got the memo about... or, y'know, basic human decency.

[post_page_title]No Smoking Indeed[/post_page_title]
The dangers of smoking are common knowledge these days, which is why it's banned in public places. This person, however, clearly didn't give a sh*t about their fellow hotel guests.

This girl was sent an invoice from a guy she ghosted, then he went a step further
I'm off the opinion that people should be taught dating etiquette in school, because frankly there are a hell of a lot of people out there who just don't seem to get it. They don't have a clue about how to behave, and exhibit the kind of behaviour that would be spoilt and obnoxious even in a four-year-old-child, let alone a fully grown adult.
Something about dating just seems to bring out the worst in people, and I'm sure we can all remember a date that we went on with good intentions that turned out to be a total car crash. But if you want an example of some serious entitlement, then look no further.
Recently, a young woman named Amanda Burnett, a nurse who hails from Chicago, Illinois, took to Twitter to share her story of a cringeworthy encounter with a guy who was either very offended or else, just super-stingy. Amanda had been on a dinner date with this dude a few days previously, but unfortunately for her, the sparks just weren't flying.
However, rather than reject him straight away, Amanda elected to simply ghost him instead. She stopped answering his calls, and hoped that he would take a hint and cease with the unwarranted advances. Big mistake.
On April 3. Amanda received an invoice (that's right, an invoice: you read that correctly) from the dude in the mail, which charged her in full for her portion of the meal. As you can see from the image above, which she posted to Twitter, the letter did indeed look very official, and all told, he believed that Amanda owed him around $40.
Yup, I think this guy thinks he's entitled to sex, and that now he's missing out on it he wants his money back. Sorry man; I'm afraid it doesn't work that way.
In her initial tweet, Amanda stated: "I’m posting this on Twitter bc it can prob go viral honestly. Got this in the mail from a guy I went on a date with a few weeks back because I didn’t text him back." But that wasn't the end of the story.
The hapless suitor then texted Amanda, and like some kind of loan shark, asked her to pay him back immediately so she would incur "penalty fines." Wow; way to make yourself look even less attractive. As you can see below, Amanda was having none of it, and told him exactly where he could stick his invoice.
However, I think there is a lesson to be learned here, which is that being ghosted sucks for everyone involved. I'm not saying that it excuses this kind of behaviour, but maybe Amanda should have thought about letting her amorous date down gently, instead of giving him the cold shoulder. Still, I'm pretty confident that she's never going to fork over that $40. I'm not sure I would either.
