Customers can be total jerks. It's no secret, especially if you've worked in retail. Many of us reading this, and likely many other humans working away this very minute, will find some solace in the fact that it's not just us. In the age of commerce and capitalism we live in, it is required and a key job descriptor to interact with fellow humans are coming to you or your compy to take part in the great money-game to purchase goods or services. It is the way.
However, it isn't that simple. It is indeed the way, but it also not the whole way. Still with me? Customers are often not the most socially enlightened when it comes to etiquette and often behave in manners uncouth and down-right wrong towards waiters, bartenders, retail workers and many, many more. Sometimes though, people behave in such a way that some form of retaliation is inevitable and most of the time, it's very amusing. Case in point...
[post_page_title]#1 Pet Supply Store Gets Real[/post_page_title]

It is until those who really should act with a little more civility and maturity ruin it for the rest of us. Shame on them, think of those poor puppies and children looking forward to a little play.
[post_page_title]#2 This Woman Who Stole The Shop Cat From A Local Flower Shop[/post_page_title]
Stealing is universally considered to be wrong regardless of whatever the item is. That said, there are definitely some examples where the act of fiver-finger discount is taken way further than what is already bad enough.

Just read that caption for a second and let that sink in. Despicable.
[post_page_title]#3 Risque But An Effective Shaming Tool[/post_page_title]
Ah, alcohol. I've was a bar manager until recently, and the things I've had to tell people to stop doing in the places I've worked would shock you and so, it is with that in mind that I give this excellent entry on this list.

Perhaps a little risqué as the title suggests but still, well played to the person who put this sign up.

You really cannot go wrong with such a simple shaming and calling-out method. The jerkerey here is well under control and what the excellent part of this is, is the fact that this is only a small part of the window. Hats off to you and your anti-jerk ways!
[post_page_title]#5 Blunt-Force Shaming[/post_page_title]
Stealing is wrong, we have established that, but stealing the tips of those working long hours, for low wages and having to deal with people such as those who populate a list such as this is nothing short of abhorrent.

Working in service is hard and takes its toll. Tips make it better, remember that.
I do like a side order of shame with my tips, especially if it's directed at people like the above.
[post_page_title]#6 Lying Customer Caught With Their Image Search Down[/post_page_title]
Ah, the complainers of this world. Some do it well and admirably, others less so and simply just because they can or have little meaning in their lives. Either way, working in the food and service industry has taught me how commonplace this really is. However, some people truly underestimate us simple workers...

On a personal level, whenever I have had to serve families, I expect the worst. It is common enough that tiny-humans make a little mess and for the most part it is excusable. However, sometimes, that isn't the worst part of this all-too-common equation.

The new level being, not actually shopping, rather ruining the days of others and costing businesses money for no more than a few near-non-beneficial moments of pleasure on the taste buds.
Get in the sea.

[post_page_title]#25 Customer Left This Note Instead Of Tip[/post_page_title]
Once again, the service industry is an absolute institution in the modern world and an industry myself and many others have absolute open respect for! The key and operative word there is "many", a word that implies "not all".

Once I had ascertained that this indeed WASN'T baguette or parsnip and settled on the reality of its phallic nature, it only served to propagate more and more questions.
I've seen some things in my time working behind bars and in restaurants, but this list has been an interesting read.
Don't be like these people.
