While the majority of us have heard wild stories about the dark web, I think I'm correct in assuming that few of us know the ins-and-outs of the mysterious space. Various media outlets have informed us that you can discover and solicit all sorts of illegal things on the dark web; including the purchase of Class A narcotics, firearms, and even, I have been told, assassins to go after your foes.
But whilst browsing the dark web has never particularly appealed to me, I can understand why some have such an interest in the space. But before you decide to venture into the other 90 per cent of the World Wide Web, I'd advise heeding the advice of those who have entered it before, as their stories may put you off... And for good reason too:
1. It's a good idea to know of the risks, first
2. Oh dear
3. Once you know how to access it, there can be no going back...
4. It's really not that difficult to access
5. This is beyond creepy
6. If you want a fake ID, it's the place to go
7. Others find it "boring"
8. You can easily purchase illicit substances on the dark web
9. Case in point
10. Literally, you can get anything that you would want
11. But there's always a price...
12. I'm sure that this was an honest mistake...
13. Woah.
14. Some have more innocuous experiences of the dark web to share
15. But apparently it's "nothing but trouble" in the majority of cases
16. Ultimately, it's just a really scary place...
Well, there you have it. I don't know about you, but those stories have seriously put me off ever visiting the dark web. I mean, it just doesn't sound like a good idea, does it?
