7 Times really attractive men transformed into terrifying serial killers for a movie role

The High School Musical star has taken on his most sinister role yet, playing the serial killer and rapist Ted Bundy who was said to have killed at least 30 women in the 1970's. The film, titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile, will be told through the eyes of Bundy's girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, played by Lily Collins.

2. Ross Lynch as Jeffrey Dahmer

Another former Disney Channel star is taking on the role of a murderer, this time about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer's adolescence in My Friend Dahmer. The convicted criminal died in prison in 1994 where he was given a life sentence after being found guilty of having killed and dismembered 17 young men.

3. Jamie Dornan as Paul Spector/Dennis Rader

The Fall's Paul Spector is a character based on the real-life serial killer Dennis Rader who murdered 10 people and is subsequently doing 10 terms of life imprisonment. The man seemed completely normal aside from his vicious killing sprees, keeping the facade of a respectable working man devoted to his family.

4. Darren Criss as Andrew Cunanan

Perfect specimen Criss starred in FX's The Assassination of Gianni Versace as Andrew Cunanan, the man responsible for killing fashion designer Gianni Versace in 1997 (along with four other people). Cunanan shot himself in the head and died when he was just 27.

5. Jeff Ward as Charles Manson

The infamous leader of the Helter Skelter gang who recently passed away was responsible for a series of brutal murders. He started the Manson Family cult commune and was played by Ward in the film Manson's Lost Girls.

6. Taylor Kitsch as David Koresh

Koresh was accused of child abuse and rape and was the leader of a sect that made headlines in 1993 after it's compound was held in a 51-day siege that left 80 people dead following a federal raid.

7. Evan Peters as Jim Jones

In an episode of American Horror Story titled Cult, Peters plays four different cult leaders, including Koresh, Charles Manson, Marshall Applewhite and Jim Jones. The makeup team did an incredible job making the usually handsome Peters resemble Jones so closely. He was a religious leader with a large following who he promised utopia to and committed mass suicide with.
