Bam Margera has revealed he is celebrating over 100 days of sobriety and has thanked his girlfriend, skateboarding, and the gym for helping him kick his addictions.

The former Jackass star, 44, has famously battled addiction but turned his life around earlier this year by focusing on his health and fitness instead.

He told TMZ that he has now hit over 100 days of sobriety on the journey so far, and has received a great deal of support from actor Mark Wahlberg on his continued recovery.

As well as returning to skateboarding and working out, Bam has also been kept busy with work, as the outlet reports he is currently shooting a movie in San Antonio, Texas, as well as developing artwork for a clothing company.

As part of his lifestyle overhaul, Bam now takes part in daily workouts with his girlfriend Dannii Marie, as well as skating, with all three things being key to him remaining sober, he claimed.

He recently shared photos of him working out at a gym owned by Jarred Taylor, who previously worked closely with Mark Wahlberg on the 2013 movie Lone Survivor, with the actor's picture being painted on the wall behind him.

Bam has also found support from Mark himself, who reached out to send him a video message as he approaches 120 days sober, which was shared by the outlet.

Mark told him: "So happy for you and your sobriety. Wow - 120 days, god bless you, bro. Hope you and your family are well, and I look forward to connecting with you soon - I've always been such a big fan and look forward to seeing you, brother."

He added that Bam should get in touch when he is in Las Vegas, where the actor now lives, so the pair can meet in person.

According to Bam, he and Mark have previously met a few times many years ago at events such as awards shows, but he is planning to link up with the star when he can.

Bam told the outlet that he has recently been cleared to see his son Phoenix, so is planning to stop at Las Vegas on his way to California.

The professional skateboarder previously opened up about his past struggles with rehab and what changed this time around on the Preston & Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR, explaining: "I bought a one-way ticket to hell and back, and I’ll explain, but I’m phenomenal now.

"I have the Guinness Book of World Records of longest Florida shuffle – fifteen back-to-back rehabs, usually 90 days of peace but sometimes more."

The term 'Florida shuffle' refers to the controversial practice where certain rehab centers continually readmit patients to claim insurance payouts, which inevitably pushes patient welfare to the background and leads to repeated cycles of admissions without lasting success.

He continued: "Luckily, I had phenomenal insurance, and the interventionist knows that if you have insurance, they’ll find every reason to keep you there."

We wish Bam all the continued success in his recovery.
