Billie Eilish has hit back at people criticizing her for "selling out", just because she switched up her style of fashion.

The singer, 21, burst onto the music scene as a teenager and was well-known for rocking oversized clothing and brightly colored hair.

However, as she has gotten older, Billie has been embracing a more pared-down, feminine look as she continues to experiment with fashion.

While your style evolving is a natural part of growing up, Billie was forced to hit back at the backlash she received from those who took offense to her switching up her look.

The 'Bad Guy' singer took to Instagram over the weekend to share her frustration at the comments she received since she started to dress differently, telling her followers: "I spent the first 5 years of my career getting absolutely OBLITERATED by you fools for being boy ish and dressing how I did & constantly being told I’d be hotter if I acted like a woman.

"And now when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, I CHANGED and am a sellout.. and 'what happened to her' oMg iT’s nOt thE sAmE biLlie she’s just like the rest bla blah.

"You guys are true idiots. LOL. I can be both you f**king bozos, LET WOMEN EXIST!"

She added: "FUN FACT! Did you know that women are multifaceted!!!!!??? Shocking right?? Believe it or not women can be interested in multiple things."

Billie also had no time for people calling her a "sellout", responding: "Suck my absolute c**k and b**ls you women hating a** weirdos."

The 'No Time To Die' songstress also pointed out that "femininity does not equal weakness" and that women are allowed to want to express themselves differently at different times in their lives.

Billie has been embracing her feminine side a lot of late, including her appearance at the 2023 Met Gala in New York earlier in the month, where she wore a sheer black lace dress over a black satin corset.

However, the first time she was spotted out and about in a figure-hugging tank top rather than her usual baggy attire almost broke the internet.

She previously addressed why she chose to cover up in baggy clothes in the past, saying in a 2019 campaign video for Calvin Klein: "I never want the world to know everything about me. I mean, that’s why I wear big baggy clothes.

"Nobody can have an opinion because they haven’t seen what’s underneath, you know?"

She added: "Nobody can be like, 'Oh she’s slim-thick, she’s not slim-thick, she got a flat a**, she got a fat a**.' Nobody can say any of that because they don’t know."
Fans also pointed out that Billie's past style was largely about protecting herself from being objectified, and how disgusting the reaction was the first time she was seen wearing anything different.
