Alan Ritchson shares cryptic comment amid violent brawl with neighbor - they spoke out
Alan Ritchson has shared a cryptic social media post, just days after he was cleared of any wrongdoing following a violent altercation with his neighbor.
On Tuesday night (March 24), the actor took to Instagram and posted a quote from former French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte: "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
Ritchson left the message without a caption, allowing the quote to speak for itself.
Fans immediately began speculating that the post was a response to the recent street brawl that made headlines.
Fans Rally Behind Ritchson
"I know you’re way too good of a dude to do that unprovoked. I’m with Alan all the way on this one," one supporter wrote in the comments of Ritchson's post.
Another said: "I know this weighs on you. This isn’t on you. You showed your kids how to stand up for themselves, and with RESTRAINT."
A third added: "Hey bro, beans we all got your back."
Details of the Altercation
The incident took place on March 22 when Ritchson and his neighbour, Ronnie Taylor, became involved in a physical fight, which reportedly involved the actor's two sons as witnesses, on a lawn near Taylor’s home in Brentwood, Tennessee.
According to Taylor, the disagreement began when he confronted Ritchson about his noisy and fast riding through the area, and things escalated from there.
The neighbour downplayed the event, calling it "hardly a fight," and said he did not know Ritchson’s identity at the time of the altercation.
He later added: "I don’t wish the guy any malice or ill will, but we just don't need people riding through neighborhoods like this, and I decided I'd take a stand because someone had to," cited by Daily Mail.
Ritchson’s Defense and Investigation Outcome
Despite Taylor’s comments, sources close to the actor provided a different perspective, telling TMZ that Taylor had pushed Ritchson twice before the altercation escalated.
Ritchson has not addressed the incident in detail, but in a brief comment to the Daily Mail, he stated: "I can't answer questions about that right now, there's an active investigation."
The Brentwood Police Department released a statement confirming that no charges would be filed against the actor.
"After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," the statement read, per Hello Magazine.
The statement noted that Ritchson’s actions were considered to be in self-defence: "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense. Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges."
The case has now been closed with no further action planned.
