Tara Reid has claimed she was drugged at a Chicago hotel bar after footage emerged showing her nearly unconscious and being wheeled out on a stretcher by paramedics.

The 50-year-old American Pie actress was seen in a video donning a tan fur coat, her hair disheveled and her speech slurred, as several people struggled to lift her into a wheelchair.

At one point, Reid’s body went limp, and her midriff was exposed as she slumped out of the chair.

Moments later, paramedics arrived to take her to a nearby hospital.

In the clip, filmed in the early hours of November 23, she was heard saying: “Come on, guys,” as well as, “You don’t know who I am. I am famous. I’m an actress,” according to an onlooker who witnessed the incident, per PEOPLE.

A rep for Reid confirmed that she has filed a police report and believes her drink was tampered with.

“Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time,” the statement read.

“She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone.”

However, a spokesperson for Rosemont Public Safety told the publication that while they responded to an EMS call at 12:39 a.m. for a “sick person,” no report of alleged drugging had yet been received.

In a statement to TMZ, the Sharknado actress recalled checking into her hotel late Saturday night before heading down to the bar.

She said she left her drink momentarily to smoke a cigarette, during which she ran into a group of YouTubers, one of whom joined her outside.

When she returned, she noticed her drink was covered with a napkin she didn’t place there.

After consuming it, she said, the next thing she remembered was waking up in the hospital.

“Without finishing my drink, I just passed out,” Reid said, cited by Page Six.

“Before I knew it, I was at the hospital, eight hours later. It’s really scary… You have to really be careful with your drink. [The hospital] said, ‘You got drugged last night at the bar.’”

Reid, who has faced public scrutiny in the past over her appearance and health, emphasized that she only had one drink that night and denied any suggestion of substance abuse relapse.

While she has not issued further comment, her team says she is cooperating fully with authorities and focusing on her recovery.

You know what's insane? The fact that there are six Sharknado films. Yup; as if a movie about tornados filled with flying, man-eating sharks wasn't a dumb enough idea the first time around, a whole group of Hollywood executives apparently decided that it was solid enough to make a franchise out of. To be honest though, I don't think any of those films would exist without American Pie actress Tara Reid looking to earn an easy dollar. Seriously Tara: you deserve better than this.

Sadly, Tara Reid has been something of a troubled star since her feature debut back in 1998, and has struggled with an alcohol addiction. She appeared to have something of a career resurgence in 2014, but now a recent interview she conducted to promote the newest Sharknado movie has left her fans feeling alarmed, when she appeared to slur her words and sounded confused and disorientated.

The interview, which aired on Australian station Channel 9 on the morning of Friday August 17, was introduced by the host Deborah Knight as "the American sweetheart who quickly became one of Hollywood's biggest party girls". She seemed to live up to her reputation, according to many social media users, who assumed when watching the interview that The Big Lebowski star was drunk on her live feed from New York.

In the chaotic interview she stated: It's my favourite one. It's so ridiculous, it's so bad that it's good ... It's just out of control, like, the movie, it does, it takes every step to the next level.' It... it really makes sense. From the first one. It really does it. It makes, like, a complete circle. I do really think it's gonna be the end. [sic]" Things got so bad that the sounds of stifled laughter could be heard from behind the camera at one point.

Many fans have made it clear how worried they are about her: one Twitter user wrote "OMG she looked and sounded totally out of it - slurring her words. And so thin, she can't be well," while another wrote: "I saw it happening ... I was thinking, firstly, what’s happened to her face? And secondly.. why is she squinting and speaking like that? [sic]"

Indeed, in a recent interview, Reid appeared to be contrite about her former party girl antics, stating: "I would do a lot of stuff differently. I wouldn't have gone out so much and been so crazy. When I started out, I wasn't aware I would lose all my privacy, so I was doing everything that your average 21-year-old does, but it was there for everyone to see. I should have made wiser choices about where to go and what to do, because that kind of all caught up on me and it changed everything."

Hopefully everything is alright with Tara and she's not in need of help. It seems as though she has a lot of fans who care about her.

 

 

Tara Reid has made a strong statement in defense of her claim that her drink was spiked at a Chicago hotel, despite recent findings from local police.

The 50-year-old actress, known for her roles in American Pie and the Sharknado franchise, had been seen in distressing footage from the DoubleTree hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, following an incident the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The footage showed Reid slumped in a wheelchair, leading to her hospitalization. Reid filed a police report alleging that someone drugged her wine after she left it unattended at the bar.

The Rosemont Police Department reviewed surveillance footage, which they stated did not show any tampering with Reid’s drink. In their official statement to the Daily Mail, the police clarified that the video from the hotel bar “showed Tara Reid at the hotel bar, at no time did video show anyone tampering with or adding something to her drink.”

However, Reid is adamant that she was drugged, maintaining that her hospital visit was a direct result of being poisoned. “Bottom line is no one ends up in the hospital incapacitated for over 8 hours after a drink,” she told Daily Mail.

Police investigation reveals no tampering with drink

While the police continue their investigation, they have yet to identify any criminal activity related to the incident. Surveillance footage from the hotel did reveal that a bartender covered Reid’s drink when she left the bar, a practice the police confirmed is standard in the hospitality industry.

Police are also awaiting Reid’s hospital records to confirm whether any specific chemical testing was conducted on her following the event.

Despite the lack of evidence, Reid is unwavering in her belief that something untoward occurred. She stated, “Last thing I remember is having one drink and waking up in the hospital the next day without remembering anything. That was the scariest feeling I have ever felt. I felt so helpless.”

She further explained that the experience had taken a toll on her mental health, stating, “This has been a horrifying experience for me that is severely affecting my mental health. I cannot sleep over this. It’s a very scary feeling not knowing what happened to me.”

Alleged confrontation with YouTuber Sean P

The case has become more complicated with accusations directed toward Sean P, a YouTuber, who Reid alleges may have been involved in the incident. She claims that after the two shared a cigarette outside the hotel, he allegedly sent her videos of her being taken out of the hotel in a stretcher the next day.

Reid interpreted this as an extortion attempt. Sean P, however, denies any involvement in spiking Reid’s drink. According to him, the two exchanged contact details and left the hotel bar together for a cigarette. He claims that when they returned, Reid seemed “tipsy” but nothing out of the ordinary occurred.

The actress’s representative has also weighed in, denying that she accused Sean P of drugging her drink. In an incident report obtained by The Daily Mail, Reid recounts the events leading up to her blackout, including the moment she noticed a napkin covering her drink. She remains firm in her assertion that her memory of the night was erased and believes she was drugged.

As the investigation progresses, it remains to be seen whether police will uncover new evidence or if Reid’s claims will be substantiated.

It's now 18 years later, but people still continue to watch American Pie. However, it's evident that the world has most definitely moved on. The actors themselves, have gone onto have illustrious careers, some in the entertainment industry, and others in different fields. One American Pie actress that people have forever been intrigued about, however, is Shannon Elizabeth, who took quite a serious U-turn after playing the hot exchange student, Nadia. Khloé Kardashian has seemingly shut down the haters who constantly comment on her "changing" face.

It's been a long-running subject about the middle Kardashian sister that she, too, has taken part in from time to time.

She once quipped in response to the scrutiny of her face that she has a "daily face transplant".

But there comes a time when enough is enough - even the rich and famous can be hurt by negative comments on the internet.

Seemingly in response to it all, the 36-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to imply that the haters were spreading their negativity as a result of their own insecurity.

In one post, Khloé wrote: "Next time someone tries to put you down, remember that confidence is quiet but insecurity is loud."

In a second posted, she said: "Remember you will never be criticized by someone who is doing more than you. You will only be criticized by someone who is doing less than you."

The two posts come after a fan uploaded a video slamming those who constantly make degrading comments about how Khloé's face has changed over the years.

After watching the video, Khloé thanked the TikToker for defending her. "I don't want anyone to kiss my ass. I’m not asking for that," she wrote, per BuzzFeed. "But what I am asking for is for people to realize just what articles like this [do] to someone's soul and confidence."

"I am so very grateful and appreciative of anyone who stands up to bullying or people writing [stories] simply for clickbait," she added. "Defending someone, Especially when we don’t know one another makes [my] heart happy. That’s the person I am. I like to defend what is right."

This isn't the first time Khloé has addressed the criticism of her appearance. In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she shared with Tristan Thomas, father of her daughter True:

"My soul is at a breaking point in regards to the public thinking they're allowed to talk about my weight, my face, my personal life. Actually, I don't want to hear this anymore."

"I've always been incredibly open with this show and my life, but I just don't think I have it in me anymore. It's not healthy for my spirit," she added.
