Due to the ongoing global situation, many of us are doing exactly what we should be doing and self-isolating. And with the knowledge that people don't have to see my friends or colleagues for weeks on end, some people are forgoing their usual beauty routines and/or trying out new looks.
For example, my wife has decided not to wear makeup throughout isolation to give her skin a break from cosmetics. And I decided to shave my beard off and leave a mustache on my first day working from home.
But what is more bizarre is seeing celebrities doing the same thing. Stars like Katy Perry are sharing makeup-free selfies and Kylie Jenner recently showed off what she looks like without hair extensions/wigs.

Taking to social media to share a candid selfie with her fans, the 26-year-old American singer showed off what her hair looks like out of her iconic high ponytail. Sharing the snap with her 72.5 million Twitter followers, Grande captioned the pic: "get a load a dis".
And I think we can all agree that not only does Ariana look so different, but she looks absolutely incredible with those curls.
Since sharing the selfie to Twitter yesterday, it has since received more than 47,000 retweets and over 419,000 likes, as well as a barrage of comments begging Grande to forever keep this look.
One Twitter fan with the handle @mdnafenty instructed Grande: "now don’t put the ponytail on ever again".
And just in case you were in any doubt about whether or not these are actually Ariana's natural curls, Grande's mom Joan responded to the singer's snap, saying: "Your natural hair/curls is a world of its own."
Spoken like any mom who hates their daughter messing with their natural hair.
