Depression is a disease, and we all struggle with it at some point. Sometimes it takes the form of lethargy. What's the point of leaving the apartment? You tell yourself you'll just go to the gym tomorrow, or buy groceries tomorrow, or meet friend for a drink tomorrow. But it doesn't happen, and there you are, stuck in a rut, feeling listless.

Well, I've got good news. There's one man who can help you out of this destructive pattern. He is a Predator slayer, a Black Ops Commando, a bad Terminator, a good Terminator, a Barbarian seeking vengeance, a pregnant scientist, and a mattress salesman who knows how jingle all the way - not just half the way: Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This man can do anything. Arnold went from an award-winning bodybuilder to an iconic movie star to the Governor of California. He's also a surprisingly active Redditor, and loves interacting with fans. Recently he shared posted a video of himself in the bodybuilding subreddit. Having recovered from open-heart surgery, he's back in the gym.

Under the video, a Reddit user posted a message for Arnold, revealing he was suffering from depression.

"I know this is pandering but, I've been depressed for months and haven't hit the gym during that time. Mr. Schwarzenegger can you please tell me to get off my lazy ass and hit the gym? I swear to everything I hold dear that I will snap out of it and go."

The Governator replied with an heartfelt message, explaining that "life is a workout." Sometimes if you just do one tiny step, it can snowball into positive change.

"I’m not going to be that hard on you. Please don’t be that hard on yourself. We all go through challenges, we all go through failure. Sometimes life is a workout. But the key thing is you get up. Just move a little. Roll out of bed and do some pushups or go for a walk. Just do something.

"One step at a time, I hope you feel better and get back to the gym. But don’t beat yourself up, because that’s just useless talk. It doesn’t get you closer to the gym. And don’t be afraid to ask for help. Good luck."

And guess what? The advice worked. When Arnold says, "GET TO THE CHOPPA," you get to the choppa. The Reddit user wrote back, overwhelmed and excited, with tears of joy. Thanks to the seven-time Mr. Olympia, he felt motivated to get out of his rut.

"I'm not kidding, I just jumped out of bed when I received this notification. Arnold, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to reply. I'm getting dressed and heading to the gym, I'll be doing a 5x5 routine (squats, overhead press, deadlift) to get the rust off and will snap out of it. THANK YOU!!!!!!!?♥

"I wish everybody reading this comment could know how good it feels to have Arnold Schwarzenegger personally give you encouragement, I feel overwhelmed (in a good way) and as cliché as it sounds, I do have tears of joy in my eyes. Off to the gym!!"

And the conversation didn't end there! Arnold followed up, writing, "I’m proud of you! How did it go?" The Redditor replied, "Thank you for checking up on me ? It was a good, hard workout but it went extremely well. Body is aching all over today and I'm enjoying the burn of it! Can't wait to go back tomorrow..."

As 71 years old, Arnold is still inspiring people, with both his body, and his words. Now get to the choppa!
