Bill Murray has proven yet again why he is a celebrity we can all look up to.
As reported by The Independent, the 71-year-old actor took part in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament, in Pebble Beach, California, over the weekend. The Groundhog Day star was a firm favorite among those in the crowd, as his hilarious antics kept spectators on their toes.
At one point during the tournament, Murray was recorded grabbing a of tequila from a fan - complete with lime - and necking the shot.
After downing the shot, the actor throws the cup into the crowd and sucks on the lime - as a cheer erupts from the crowd. One fan can even be heard shouting, "Let's go! What a boss!"
Check out the legendary moment below:That smooth nonchalant walk away... I can only hope to be that cool one day.
And Murray's hilarious hijinks didn't end there. Elsewhere in the tournament, he decided to channel his character of Carl Spackler in the 1980 movie, Caddyshack.
Prior to sinking a putt, Murray approached his golf ball as you'd expect - but rather than taking a conventional shot, he turned away to gaze out at the horizon and sank the ball backward.
Watch Murray's epic backward shot below:He capped off the shot by throwing his club to the side and walking off.
Once again, the actor's cool-as-the-other-side-of-the-pillow capers drew a huge response from the crowd, and the commentator can be heard saying, simply: "Of course it's going in. Of course it is... it's Bill Murray!"
Seriously, why don't we see more trick shots like this during official PGA tournaments?
And, on Thursday, Murray decided to lead an impromptu rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for PGA Tour golfer Chris Stroud. Check out that moment below:
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am was eventually won by 32-year-old Tom Hoge, who closed with a par for a 4-under 68.
However, judging by the response on Twitter, I think Murray was secretly the winning here:
The Ghostbusters star was among 27 celebrities to play at the pro-am over the weekend, as he was joined by names such as rapper ScHoolboy Q and LA Dodgers star outfielder Mookie Betts.
