Blac Chyna has lost the explosive $108 million lawsuit she brought against the Kardashian-Jenner family.
A Los Angeles jury decided that no members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan had defamed Chyna and that they also did not interfere with her contract by convincing the E! network to cancel her reality show Rob & Chyna, The Guardian reports.
The four defendants - Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner - had attended nearly every day of the trial, but when the jury shared their verdict, all were in New York for the star-studded Met Gala, where this year's dress code was "Gilded Glamour."
Chyna, on the other hand, was in court for the verdict.
Following around 10 hours of deliberations, the jury said that the Kardashians often acted reprehensibly, but also decided this had no substantial effect on Chyna's contract or the fate of the show. As such, the 33-year-old model was awarded no damages.
Executives from the E! network, which aired the show, testified that Rob & Chyna ended because the relationship ended, not due to the defendants' actions.
An attorney for the Kardashians, Michael G. Rhodes, said the family was "exuberant" when he contacted them with the news.
“They’re very pleased,” Rhodes said. “I hope they enjoy their gala in New York.”
Chyna's own lawyer, Lynne Ciani, said she interpreted the verdict to mean that “the jury found that Chyna had not physically abused Rob Kardashian,” and “the jury found that all four defendants had intentionally interfered with her contract with the E! Network.”
“We will appeal on the remaining questions,” she added.
Jurors sitting on the trial were sent back twice to deliberate further when it was found that on some questions in the case against the youngest sibling, Kylie Jenner, the vote was 8-4 when at least 9-3 was required in the civil case, but they soon returned with 9-3 votes and the result remained unchanged.
The jury had been considering the defamation case against Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, after a judge dismissed the section of the legal suit against Kim Kardashian during deliberations.
All four of the Kardashian women took the stand at the trial, which lasted nine days.
