Brendan Fraser recently got choked up during an interview after hearing about how his fans are "rooting" for him.

The 52-year-old beloved actor was taking part in an interview with actor, writer, and podcast host Lindley Key (also known on social media by her handle LittleLottie91), when she had the honor of informing Fraser that his fans on the internet are "rooting" for him.

Aside from his incredible role as Robotman in DC's Doom Patrol, Fraser has seldom been on our screens in recent years.

However, the actor has recently landed several huge roles, including Martin Scorsese's Apple TV movie Killers Of The Flower Moon, Darren Aronofsky's The Whale, and Max Barbakow's Brothers. This career resurgence has led to fans flooding social media with messages of support for the George of the Jungle star.

Some are even calling this period in the actor's actor's career "the Brendan Fraser renaissance", or just "the Brenaissance".

During his interview with Lindley, Fraser spoke of his excitement and nervousness about working with Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Robert De Niro on their upcoming project.

To which Lindley responds: "You got this! You got this! Just know that the internet is so behind you, we're so supportive. There's so many people out there who love you and we're rooting for you and we can't wait to see what you do next."

The kind words immediately lead to Fraser becoming visible emotional, and he takes a sip of his drink and tips his head down in an apparent attempt to hide his face and give himself a couple of seconds.

Frazer then smiles and replies: "Shucks, ma'am!"

It is a sweet moment that has left many of Fraser's fans even more supportive of the actor:

In a video shared to her TikTok account, Lindley revealed that she landed the interview with Fraser after making a last-minute purchase for a meet-and-greet with the star. She went on to describe him as "the purest soul".

In a 2018 interview with GQ, the actor claimed that his career had been negatively impacted due to an alleged sexual assault at the hands of the former president of the HFPA, Philip Berk, in the summer of 2003.

The actor claimed that Berk groped him inappropriately in a crowded room, in a moment that left the actor overcome with panic and fear.

He told GQ: "Am I still frightened? Absolutely. Do I feel like I need to say something? Absolutely. Have I wanted to many, many times? Absolutely. Have I stopped myself? Absolutely."
