Here is everything Brooklyn Beckham's wedding DJ claims happened at the event as he reveals the truth behind Victoria's "inappropriate" act.
On January 19, the 26-year-old shared a series of candid Instagram Stories, expressing his frustrations and making serious allegations about how his parents treated him and Nicola, especially during their 2022 wedding.
One of the most startling claims was that his mother, Victoria, “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola, dancing “very inappropriately” and leaving him feeling humiliated in front of 500 guests.
DJ Fat Tony Reveals the Truth Behind the Wedding Dance
DJ Fat Tony, a close friend of the Beckham family, appeared on This Morning on January 23 to share his account of the now-infamous wedding dance.
Tony revealed that the incident, which the 26-year-old described in his Instagram rant, involved Marc Anthony, who was performing at the wedding.
According to him, the 57-year-old singer called Brooklyn to the stage, where a romantic first dance with Nicola was scheduled.
However, to the aspiring chef's shock, Anthony invited his mom onto the stage instead.
“Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his wife,” Fat Tony explained.
“Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out.”
Tony clarified that Victoria’s dance was not overtly inappropriate in terms of provocative moves but emphasized that the timing of the moment made it “awkward for everyone in the room".
He also shared that the 'Vivir mi vida' musician directed Brooklyn to “put your hands on your mother’s hips,” which made the situation even more uncomfortable, especially for the bride.
The Fallout and Brooklyn’s Renewal of Vows
The fallout from the wedding moment was far-reaching.
Tony, who DJed at the wedding brunch the following morning, confirmed that the uncomfortable moment was the talk of the event.
“I DJed the brunch, which was the most awkward part of it all because that's when everything was discussed from the night before,” he said.
“Not many people turned up for the brunch, but everyone was talking about it.”
Brooklyn himself later explained how the incident led him and Nicola to renew their vows in 2024, seeking to create new memories from their wedding that would bring them joy rather than embarrassment.
DJ Fat Tony and Stavros Agapiou Confirm Brooklyn’s Version
In addition to Tony’s account, his partner, Stavros Agapiou, also weighed in, confirming Brooklyn's version of events.
In a now-deleted tweet, Stavros said, “I was there, and she did; he’s telling the truth.”
He added, “Good on him for finally speaking out!” per The Sun.
Per The Mirror, the DJ also took to social media to poke fun at the situation.
Sharing a video of Motherland’s Amanda (Lucy Punch) performing a cringeworthy dance, he compared her moves to Victoria's, joking, “Actual video footage, it’s true I was there!”
Despite Brooklyn’s explosive claims and the public’s growing interest in the events surrounding his wedding, neither David nor Victoria has publicly addressed the accusations.
