R&B artist Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to affray in relation to a confrontation at a London nightclub back in 2023.
During the incident, a man was hit over the head with a bottle.
The American musician faced allegations that he attacked a former friend at Tape nightclub in Mayfair in 2023.
Appearing at Southwark Crown Court on Friday (July 24), the Loyal singer admitted an additional charge of affray, while denying charges of grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm against Abraham Diaw.
Prosecutors have dropped the assault charges against the 37-year-old.
Brown, who has had legal troubles in the UK previously, allegedly had a fight that was caught on CCTV in front of the club, according to prosecutors.
The court heard that Brown struck the victim twice on the head with a glass bottle, before his vocal coach, Omololu Akinlolu, punched the man in the head.
It was also detailed that the victim was kicked while sitting defenceless on the floor, as per the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
He was taken to St Mary's Hospital with head and knee injuries.
Brown and Akinlolu are out on bail, but the sentencing has been scheduled for October 26 at Southwark Crown Court.
The artist was allowed to leave the UK, but he must return on October 25, according to his bail conditions.
Brown appeared at court sporting a tan suit, gold-rimmed sunglasses, and a St Louis Cardinals baseball hat, while being surrounded by security guards.
A number of his fans were awaiting his arrival, playing his music and shouting his name.
The 'Fine China' artist was previously ordered to pay a £5 million ($6.67 million) security fee as part of his bail conditions.
He was also permitted to go on a world tour, as long as he surrendered his passport on arrival in each country.
Metropolitan Police Detective Constable Zara Ripamonti released a statement on the matter, saying: "This was a disgraceful, unprovoked assault that put a man in hospital.
"There is no place for serious violence like this in London and I'm pleased these men accepted what they did wasn't just completely unacceptable - but criminal.
"This has been a long investigation and we've worked with police colleagues in the UK to bring these two men to justice."
Brown shot to fame aged just 16 with the release of his self-titled debut album, staying in the mainstream in the two decades since.
The two-time Grammy winner has not been in the spotlight without controversy, though, after pleading guilty to the 2009 beating of his ex-girlfriend, musician Rihanna.
He admitted one count of felony assault in relation to an incident that took place hours before they were meant to perform at the Grammys.

This comes just a few months after he "sucker punched" a photographer during a promotional appearance at a Florida nightclub. The nightclub confirmed the incident, saying:"Incidents like the ones caused by Chris Brown and his team are very sad to see. As everyone witnessed he showed up to the club at around 1:30am. After only a few minutes of being there, Chris Brown himself and his team assaulted our club photographer and proceeded to walk out of the venue."
However, no legal action was taken after the attack.Chris Brown has strongly denied the rape allegations made against him following his arrest in Paris yesterday.
After he was released without charge, the Grammy Award-winning singer took to social media to refute any wrongdoing, uploading a picture that read: "this b**** lyin'".
In his caption on Instagram, he claimed the accusation was "disrespectful" and against his "character and morals".
Writing in block captions, he stated: "I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR...... THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!" [sic]

Brown and two other men - his bodyguard and a family friend - were arrested after a 24-year-old woman claimed the three had assaulted her in the Mandarin Oriental hotel on 15 January after meeting in a nightclub.
The French prosecutor's office has claimed that police are still investigating the case.
Raphael Chiche, the Look at Me Now star's lawyer, said his client "vigorously" professed his innocence and intended to sue for defamation.
"Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him," Chiche stated. "A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris."
In an interview with French magazine Closer, Brown's victim detailed the alleged attack, stating it was "brutal and violent".

The woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, said she met Brown "through a friend" who works at the Crystal Lounge nightclub on the Champs Elysee.
After partying together at The Quay nightclub, a group decided to go back to Brown's hotel rooms at the Mandarin Oriental, where their cell phones were taken and they were offered drugs and alcohol.
Alleging that Brown followed her when she went to use the bathroom, the woman said: "Chris Brown followed me and took me by the right arm. He made me enter a sort of dressing room. He closed the door. It lasted 25 to 30 minutes. It's still too difficult for me to explain in detail what he did, but it was brutal and violent.
"He was threatening and aggressive. I was very afraid. Once it was over, he opened the door. I told him that I wanted to pick up my cell phone and go home. Chris Brown went to see one of his friends. I thought this person was going to accompany me to the bodyguard for my cell phone, but that's not what he did.

"He took me to his room, he locked the door and he abused me too. It was the same with the bodyguard. All I wanted to do was go home. I was too scared. There were three muscular men, aggressive and menacing. I couldn't do anything. I'm traumatised, I can't overcome what happened to me and resume my habits. It's horrible, I'm lost."
When asked how she managed to escape, she told Closer: "I said that I had to go to bed, that I had classes the next day. I cried. When he saw me like that, he returned my cell phone and I left."
Speaking about how why she chose to report the alleged attack two days later, she confirmed she had been hesitant, but said she didn't want the men to do the same to other girls.
"Yes. I was scared. They have my address, my cell number, my picture... But I didn't want them to be able to do the same thing to other girls," she said. "Chris Brown is the kind of person who thinks himself powerful and thinks himself above the law, but no. I'll go to the end. Abused three times in the same evening by three different men – it's unbearable to live with."

Singer Chris Brown has reportedly been detained in Paris and is apparently under investigation, after being accused of rape.
A 24-year-old woman (whose identity is currently unknown) alleges that Chris Brown raped her on the night of Jan 15-16 after they met at a nightclub in France. The woman, who reportedly filed a complaint with French police, is said to have further alleged that two acquaintances of Brown (identified by French media as his bodyguard and a friend), also sexually abused her. They too have now been arrested.

Images have emerged of Brown partying with his Instagram-model girlfriend Ammika Harris at Parisian nightclub Cirque Bonheur on Saturday night; just hours before the alleged rape apparently took place.
This is not the first time that Brown has had run-ins with law enforcement. Back in 2009, Brown was charged with the violent assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna at a party before the Grammys. Rihanna was left with visible facial injuries and was hospitalised as a result of the altercation, and Brown turned himself into the Los Angeles Police Department.

After his admission of guilt, he was sentenced to five years probation, a year of domestic violence counselling, and six months of community service. Rihanna was granted a restraining order against him.
In 2017, Brown's girlfriend, the model Karrueche Tran, was also granted a five-year-long restraining order against him, and claimed that Brown made death threats against her. Model Liziane Gutierrez also claims she was punched by him, although her accusations never came to trial.
Chris Brown and his representatives have currently declined to comment on the accusations against him.
Chris Brown has been criticized for grabbing a fan's neck on stage while giving her one of his famous lap dances.
The 33-year-old R&B crooner - who is currently on the UK and Europe leg of his Under the Influence worldwide tour - had been performing a medley of his greatest hits on stage in Manchester this week.
As has become his trademark, the 'Run It' singer plucked an attractive young woman from the audience to come to the stage, before performing a lapdance as she sat on a chair in front of the audience.
The woman - who turned out to be 23-year-old former Love Island contestant Natalia Zoppa - was serenaded by Brown, who grinded on her while singing 'Take You Down', from his 2007 album Exclusive. In one moment, he appeared to grab the influencer by her neck - and many fans felt uncomfortable at the move.
A video of the dance has since been uploaded to TikTok by a user with the handle @rikiekelly, where it quickly received 2.5 million views and close to 100,000 likes.
Many users took to the video's comments section, however, to share their opinions on the singer, who has had a troubled past marked by legal issues and cheating scandals. "I tried this the other day. Court hearing is next week," one person quipped.
"Do they know his history," another person said, evidently referring to an incident that saw him physically assault Rihanna following a pre-Grammys event in February 2009. It tarnished his whole reputation after the 'Umbrella' singer was left hospitalized from her injuries. At the time, Brown was sentenced to 1,400 hours community service and five years probation.
Rihanna was also granted a restraining order against him, but that was eventually dropped after the pair rekindled their romance in 2013. They broke it off again after Brown allegedly cheated on Rihanna with his former flame Karrueche Tran - who also ended up getting a restraining order against him after she testified in court that he had abused her.
Another comment read: "Isn't he the one who used to beat up Rihanna?"
Someone else noted that Zoppa looked as if she was trying to remove Brown's hand from her throat, saying: "you can see how she is trying to get his hand [off her] throat!!!!!!! [sic]"
"He's not got a good track record," a further user added, "why do they always grind on the girls [...] personal space is a thing!"
"Bruh be careful, how was he even allowed entry to UK [considering] his criminal record," someone else said.
Brown - who is a father to two daughters and a son - has spoken out publicly about his violent and abusive past, revealing in a 2017 documentary that the images that were leaked of Rihanna's injuries have haunted him. "I look back at that picture and I'm just like: that's not me. I hate it to this day - that's going to haunt me forever," he said via The Guardian.
Shortly after the assault in 2009, Rihanna spoke to 20/20 about the terrifying ordeal, stating that Brown - then 19 - had threatened to kill her, "all I kept thinking was, 'When is it going to stop?'" She then added: "The more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for each other, equally as dangerous."
The singer Chris Brown has been arrested just moments after coming off stage at a concert in Florida, authorities have said.
The 29-year-old was detained after finishing the gig at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach and taken to County Jail. According to police, his arrest was in connection to an outstanding warrant in a nearby county, however, it's unclear what this warrant was for.
TMZ reported that shortly after finishing the show, Brown "hopped off stage and into a police cruiser" that had been waiting for him to finish the performance.
According to a spokesman for the police, Brown posted a $2,000 bond and was released shortly after being detained by officers.

Of course, this isn't Brown's first run-in with the law. Back in 2009, he was convicted for assaulting his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, after a pre-Grammys party in February of that year. Brown was sentenced to five years of probation, a year of domestic violence counselling and six months of community service.
He was also handed a five-year restraining order that required him to remain 50 yards away from Rihanna at all times, with it being reducing to 10 at public events.
In a documentary released last year, Brown alleged that Rihanna had been kicking and punching him during an argument about another woman. He then says that he "really hit her" and bit her arm.
Appearing to show remorse for his actions, the singer said that he felt like a "monster" and said that the incident would "haunt me forever."
"I remember she was trying to kick me. It was just her just being upset. But then I really hit her. With a closed fist, like I punched her and it busted her lip. And when I saw it I was in shock. Why the hell did I hit her?
"From there, she just spit in my face, spit blood in my face, so it enraged me even more. It was a real fight in a car."
Brown said he realised it was a "petty, stupid fight" and pulled over, leaving Rihanna to drive home on her own.
Speaking about the police picture of Rihanna that showed her injuries, he said: "I look back at that picture and I'm like, 'That's not me, bro'. I hate it to this day. "That's going to haunt me forever."
In the documentary, which was titled "Chris Brown: Welcome to my Life," he revealed the relationship started to go downhill after he admitted to cheating on Rihanna with a former employee, despite previously denying it.
After that revelation, Brown said Rihanna "hated" him for what he had done to her and claimed that their relationship quickly turned volatile. "She didn't care, she just didn't trust me after that," he said.
"From there, it just went downhill because it would be fights, it would be verbal fights, physical fights as well...
"We were fighting each other. She would hit me, I would hit her. But it never was OK."
While the reason behind the warrant remains unknown, it doesn't seem like something Brown needs to massively worry about. Besides, he's a celebrity, so he'll probably end up paying his way out of any trouble.
