Dwayne Johnson took to Instagram to share an emotional eulogy he delivered at his father's funeral.

The actor's father passed away last month after having a heart attack, which followed a diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis.

Watch as Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reveals the cause of his father's death:

As well as sharing an Instagram video of the tribute, Johnson also wrote a caption where he called his dad an "angel" and praised him for teaching how to be a good man and father.

"Dad, you lived a full and meaningful life," he wrote. "You trail blazed and even harder, you changed people's harsh behaviors toward a man of color. Paving the way for me, my family and generations to come."

"You loved us with the capacity of which you could – given all the givens. Raised me with an iron hand and a tough complicated love. A love that now, as a father and man, I've learned to refine as I raise my own children. I wish I had one more shot. To say one more thing. You were taken too fast. Slipped right thru my hands [sic]."

"But you were so loved, lived so full, defined culture and now you rest high. Peacefully. And that makes my heart smile. I love you and now I have an angel to call by name. I'll see you down the road, Soulman. Til we meet again. Your son."

This is not the only homage that Johnson has paid to his late father. Last month, he took to his Instagram account once again to pen a beautiful message. He wrote;

"I love you.
You broke color barriers, became a ring legend and trail blazed your way thru this world.
I was the boy sitting in the seats, watching and adoring you, my hero from afar.
The boy you raised to always be proud of our cultures and proud of who and what I am.
The boy you raised with the toughest of love.
The intense work.
The hard hand.
The adoring boy who wanted to know only your best qualities.
Who then grew to become a man realizing you had other deep complex sides that needed to be held and understood.
Son to father.
Man to man.
That’s when my adoration turned to respect.
And my empathy turned to gratitude.
Grateful that you gave me life.
Grateful you gave me life’s invaluable lessons.
Dad, I wish I had one more shot to tell you, I love you, before you crossed over to the other side.
But you were ripped away from me so fast without warning.
Gone in an instant and no coming back.
Im in pain.
But we both know it’s just pain and it’ll pass.
Now I’ll carry your mana and work ethic with me, as it’s time to move on because I have my family to feed and work to accomplish.
Finally, I want you to rest your trailblazing soul, Soulman.
Pain free, regret free, satisfied and at ease.
You lived a very full, very hard, barrier breaking life and left it all in the ring.
I love you dad and I’ll always be your proud and grateful son.
Go rest high.
