The billionaire space race feud has taken a new turn as Elon Musk has laughed at a meme mocking Jeff Bezos' space flight.

Twitter was left in hysterics when the Tesla founder replied to a question about the Tesla FSD Beta on Saturday, July 17, by tweeting: "Roughly".

He was then sent a meme of himself and Bezos.

The meme took screengrabs from the Star Wars franchise in the popular Padme and Anakin format, but the faces were replaced with his and Bezos'.

It mocked the fact that Bezos' space flight will actually only touch the edge of space, and therefore, it will only be sub-orbital.

Per Indy100, Bezos' flight will go just above the Karman line, which is an imaginary line that's 62 miles above sea level that some class as the boundary between Earth and space.

The meme clearly struck a chord with Musk, who replied with a simple: "Haha."

Musk went on to joke about his relationship with Bezos and said the CEO of Amazon "can bench press a rhino" after undergoing an impressive physical transformation.

This is all part of the growing friendly spat between Musk, Bezos, and Richard Branson, who was the first billionaire to travel into space on Sunday, July 11.

Before the flight, Blue Origin mocked Branson for only having "airplane-sized windows" whereas theirs will have the "largest windows in space."

The Blue Origin flight is scheduled for July 20, and it will contain Bezos, his brother Mark, 18-year-old physics student Oliver Daeman, and 82-year-old aviator Wally Funk, per Space.com.

The inclusion of Wally Funk, pictured above, on the flight is historical for more than one reason, as she will become the oldest person to ever go into space, but she was also one of the first women to ever receive astronaut training.

However, as a member of the 'Mercury 13', a group of women who were trained in the 1960s, she was ultimately denied the opportunity to go into space because of her gender.

Funk said in a video posted by Bezos on Instagram: "Nothing has ever gotten in my way. They said, 'Well, you're a girl, you can't do that.' I said, 'Guess what, doesn't matter what you are.

"You can still do it if you want to do it and I like to do things that nobody has ever done."

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old physics student bagged himself a seat on the flight as the original ticket holder, a winner of a $28 million auction, is now "too busy".
