New mother and model, Elsie Hewitt, claims she has been solo-parenting since her split with Pete Davidson, but a source close to the comedian denies the allegation.
Hewitt, 30, responded to criticism of her casual appearance in paparazzi pictures and alluded to her being a solo parent in a video posted on TikTok on Saturday, May 16.
She said, “That's not what I'm thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money, and I'm doing it on my own, which is hard.”
Hewitt shares five-month-old daughter Scottie Rose with notorious womaniser Davidson, 32, whom she recently broke up with.
Reinforcing speculation that Hewitt is raising the baby without her ex-partner’s help, she liked a comment on the video that said, “not staying with your partner” when they are postpartum is “insanely loser behavior."
The TikTok user added, "This is THE most vulnerable time in a woman's life.”
However, the British-American model, actress, and food content creator appears to have since deleted the like.
Another commenter wrote, "I hope you don't mean you're doing the financial part alone... that would be insane given the circumstances.
“You seem like a lovely person and a wonderful mother! We're all rooting for you."
Hewitt responded “I am :)” in a now-deleted comment.
Later that day, she also posted an Instagram story calling out for a professional to help her raise her young daughter.
In text, laid over a close-up image of herself, Hewitt wrote, “I'm currently trying to find an assistant/ mother's helper/nanny type / basically [a] right-hand person.
“Apply here if qualified & serious. Only looking @ responses with resumes.”
The shocking social media posts were shared just days after it was revealed the couple, who had only been together since early 2025, had split.
A source close to Davidson allegedly told People: "Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided full financial support.
"Pete is actually covering all [Scottie's] costs and more.
"He is hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter", the insider reportedly added.
The couple’s relationship moved extremely quickly, as just a couple of months after they were first romantically linked, they announced they were expecting their first baby.
Before news of the breakup was made public, it was rumored that the pair were working their way through relationship struggles following the birth of their daughter.
