Eric Trump claims that MAGA supporters still aren't shy about telling him how much they miss his dad Donald.

In a recent appearance on Fox News, the 37-year-old told anchor Sean Hannity that random people often come up to him in the street because they miss his ex-POTUS father.

Take a look at the interview with Eric Trump in the video below:

Speaking to Hannity, Eric said:

"I can tell you more people have come up to me on the street in the last week and given me hugs saying: 'we miss him so much'.

"Sometimes, Sean, with literal tears in their eyes."

Eric Trump continued: "No matter what you say about him he loves this country [and] he's willing to fight for this country."

This isn't the first time a member of the Trump family has claimed that his supporters have gotten touchy-feely.

Per CNN, in a telephone interview with Fox back in March, the former POTUS made the claim that the January 6 Capitol riots had been a non-violent protest, stating:

"It was zero threat, right from the start... Some of them went in, and they are hugging and kissing the police and the guards... a lot of the people were waved in, and then they walked in and they walked out."

CNN also reports that five people lost their lives as a result of the riots.

However, the former president - who lost out on a second term to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential elections - has reassured his supporters that he's not yet finished with politics, and intends to run for office again in the future.

In an April interview with Hannity, Trump stated he was "all in" on behalf of Republican candidates in next year's midterm elections.

Trump stated: "I've got tremendous numbers ... there is more popularity [for me] now than there was the day before the election. Because they see how bad things are at the border.

"They see what is going on, they see that their guns are gonna be gone ... their taxes are going up. Regulations are going through the roof. Job [losses] are going to go up.

"So I say this: I am looking at it very seriously. Beyond seriously. From a legal standpoint, I don’t want to really talk about it yet. It's a little too soon."
