Sophie Turner was snapped enjoying a night on the town around the time of her divorce from Joe Jonas, and fans have rushed to defend her.
The celebrity couple's divorce has sent shockwaves through their fanbases as it all seemed to happen so suddenly, after a few days of speculation.
The pair, who were married for four years and share two children, grabbed headlines after it was reported that Jonas had filed for divorce, describing their marriage as "irrevocably broken."
According to NBC News, the divorce filing by Jonas, described as "unhappy" and seeking a "last resort," was officially submitted on September 5.
Despite the goings on in her personal life, Turner, best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the hit series Game of Thrones, seemed to be having a great time while partying in Birmingham, UK.
Images of her outing went viral and she faced criticism for seemingly having a good time in the midst of her separation from Jonas.
Sources cited by TMZ have suggested that lifestyle differences played a significant role in their decision to split, with Jonas reportedly favoring a quieter home life, while Sophie enjoyed the "party scene."
Fans of the star have rushed to defend her from the critics, as one person wrote: "Right she also just had a baby and postpartum is very real and can last up to three years we all just need to leave her alone."
A second added: "Good for her moms deserve some fun and distress she looks great," while a third questioned: "Why not? It's better than crying at home feeling bad."
Following Turner's night out at the DropShot bar in Digbeth, Birmingham, bar manager Herzon Stephenson has spoken out about the actress's mood that night.
The event was reportedly a wrap party to celebrate the conclusion of filming in the city for Turner's upcoming ITV series, Joan.
Stephenson told MailOnline: "She was great company and a really good laugh. You would never have thought that she was going through a divorce."
During the evening, the two shared stories of their partying days in the UK's West Midlands, revealing mutual friends and favorite hangout spots, such as the Smack nightclub in Leamington Spa. Stephenson added, "She was reminiscing about those days of going out, dancing, and getting drunk."
"Sophie's a real party girl and wanted the night to continue, so she was talking about going on to somewhere else with her friends, even though she was pretty hammered," Stephenson continued. "But that didn't surprise me."
Even in the midst of a divorce, surely having some fun isn't completely off-limits?
