In case you haven't heard, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are engaged.

The pair announced the heartwarming news on social media on Wednesday evening, with 35-year-old Fox sharing a video of the romantic proposal with her 18 million Instagram followers.

In the clip, 31-year-old MGK - real name Colson Baker - can be seen dropping to one knee while holding out the ring. Megan then joins him on her knees, visibly elated at the moment. The proposal took place under the branches of a banyan tree, where the two say they first fell in love.

Check out the proposal video below:

Fox's caption to the video only served to amplify the romance of the occasion, as she typed: "In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree [...] We asked for magic.

"We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.

"Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him. And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes."

Absolutely beautiful. Oh, and then she ended it by writing: "...and then we drank each other’s blood"

Sure, my wife and I enjoyed a little bit of the bubbly after we got engaged, but each to their own.

Now, it's still unknown whether or not Fox and MGK actually drank each other's blood, but people certainly aren't putting it past them. In fact, the response on social media has been that of confusion and hilarity. Here are some of our favorite tweets on the blood-drinking:

For some people, there was no doubt the pair actually did it:
The memes came thick and fast:
"...Is that like a metaphor?"
But it certainly wasn't for everybody:

These two really are living out my ex-girlfriend's Twilight fantasy.
