Nearly two decades on from the release of the teen cult classic Bring It On, Gabrielle Union is still proudly waving the flag for the hit movie - and she's ensuring her not-quite-one-year-old daughter does exactly the same.

On Sunday, the 46-year-old actress posted a series of photos of herself and daughter Kaavia James to Instagram, showing off their matching cheerleader costumes inspired by - you guessed it - Bring It On.

In a 2015 special on TODAY, the stars of Bring It On talked about the film's continued success over a decade after its release:

Captioning the images, "Brought It. #CaliforniaLove." Union and her daughter brought tons of early noughties' nostalgia to the internet over the weekend - and the actress' followers couldn't get enough of the pics!

"This is something i didn’t know i need," wrote one fan.

"Oh wow, you and your daughter look absolutely gorgeous and adorable! Dwayne Wade is one lucky man," gushed another.

Other fans commented on the lack of any sign that Union has aged in twenty years.

"I mean I truly don’t understand how you look the same," Orange Is The New Black actress Danielle Brooks wrote. "Like this could be photoshopped but I know it isn’t. You are just incredibly inspiring!!"

"You look the same but better how is it possible? And the baby," added another.

"Oh hell no... u got a time machine and ain’t tell nobody?!?" a third wrote.

But this isn't the first time we've seen little Kaavia sporting a cheerleading costume inspired by Bring It On. Just last month, Union posted photos of the toddler dressed in exactly the same outfit.

Union, who is currently on the judging panel for America’s Got Talent, and her NBA star husband Dwyane Wade welcomed Kaavia via surrogate on November 7, 2018.

We can only imagine how proud Kaavia will be when she's old enough to realise just how big a deal her parents are!
