People on the internet have been left shocked after finding out that the baby in Good Luck Charlie has just started ninth grade.

Actress Mia Talerico starred as the titular infant Charlotte "Charlie" Duncan in the beloved Disney Channel sitcom, which spanned four seasons from 2010 to 2014.

The series was set in Denver, Colorado, and followed the Duncan family as they adapted to the arrival of their fourth child.

Each episode was created as a video diary, which older sister Teddy (played by actress/singer Bridgit Mendler) makes for her youngest sibling in the hopes that her guidance can help her as she grows older - with each entry ending with the message: "Good luck Charlie."

Even if you haven't watched the popular TV show, you’ll at least recognize Talerico as Charlie in the iconic "I don’t know" meme.

Well, unfortunately for our fragile egos, the child star made quite a splash on social media after posting an Instagram pic announcing her first day of high school.

The now-14-year-old celebrated the moment with a colorful chalkboard that read "First Day 9th Grade" with an "8.21.23" date on it while standing in front of palm trees.

"Your yearly reminder that you’re getting old. First day of high school!", she quipped in her caption, alongside hashtags such as #classof2027 and #jetlagisreal - a reference to her recent trip to Paris.

Needless to say, fans were stunned by how quickly time has flown by, with one user writing: "Damn we are getting old. I remember watching you on TV when you was just a toddler."

Another penned: "Omg. you’re turning into a beautiful young lady!! Have a great school year and most importantly good luck Charlie," while a third shared: "Girl... no way, I forget that other people grow up too."

Talerico's TV mom Leigh-Allyn Baker even shared several crying emojis under the post and added: "She’s so big! Mia, you’re beautiful!"

Talerico starred in Good Luck Charlie when she was just 11 months old. Back in 2020, she spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her time on the show during the 10th anniversary of the sitcom's premiere.

"I probably had a really easy role 'cause I just got told most of my lines or didn't have any," Talerico said, per the outlet. "I think it was really easy because most of the time, it was what happened. We just rolled with it, like, in the crawling scene, I just stood up so we just went with it."

The young actress has since starred in a few short films and the Brat TV series Mani from 2018 to 2022, according to her IMDb. She is set to star as Kelly in a comedy titled American Summer, which is currently in pre-production.
