Elon Musk took to Twitter earlier this week to confirm the birth of his son, with songstress girlfriend Grimes. This is their first child.
After a fan asked the 48-year-old to share a picture of the baby, writing "We really need to see a picture of the baby!! Please do share," Musk proceeded to post a picture of the baby asleep in a blanket, covered with fake "tattoos", using a camera phone filter.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, gave birth to the baby boy on Monday, with Musk revealing the news to his 33.6 million Twitter followers by writing: "Mom & baby all good."
He also disclosed that the baby's name is reportedly: "X Æ A-12." However, per several publications, it has been alleged that the state of California does not allow legal names to contain numbers or symbols. It is believed that the baby was born in California, given that this is where both parents reside.
PEOPLE have clarified that while the name isn't technically illegal, it would not be accepted as valid by the state. The publication quotes family law attorney, David Glass, as saying that a birth certificate filled out "with the odd numbers, dashes and symbols, it will be submitted and then rejected and they’ll be asked to submit it again".
"In California, you can only use the ‘26 characters’ of the English language in your baby name," Glass continued. "Thus, you can’t have numbers, Roman numerals, accents, umlauts or other symbols or emojis. Although an apostrophe, for a name like ‘O’Connor,’ is acceptable... They have an opportunity to appeal the rejection of the birth certificate application but it’s unlikely that it will be granted because, again, California... has been struggling with using symbols."
Watch as Madonna shares her thoughts on the novel coronavirus in a recent video:It is not yet clear whether Musk and Grimes were being serious about the name, but its unusual nature has prompted a flurry of tweets regarding its pronunciation. One Twitter user has suggested that it is pronounced, "X Ash Archangel".
The tweet, which explained the origins of the name, was liked by Musk, implying it could be correct. The Twitter user says that the name alludes to the Scandinavian alphabet, in which Æ is pronounced “ash”.
Per the Independent, A-12 is known to be a reference to the Lockheed A-12, a CIA aircraft codenamed Archangel.

Musk and Grimes have been together for over two years, having made their public debut as a couple at the 2018 Met Gala. This year's Met Gala was due to take place last night but was canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
