The 33-year-old, who was released from prison last December after having served eight years of a 10-year sentence for her part in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, has been making the most of life on the outside.

While in prison, Gypsy Rose had married her husband Ryan Anderson, however, the pair split just three months after her release, and she ended up rekindling her past relationship with her ex, Ken Urker.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together just a couple of months later, and Gypsy Rose ended up undergoing a paternity test to confirm to skeptics that the baby was indeed Ken's.

Gypsy Rose has now had a baby shower in Louisiana on November 16 in advance of the birth of her baby girl, and is looking forward to life as a new mother.

She told People she is ready to give her baby "all the happiness a child should experience" after celebrating with around 25 friends and family members.

She also revealed that she and Ken have chosen a name already, and that their little one will be named Aurora Raina Urker.

Gypsy Rose told the outlet: "Ken and I were so excited to have a beautiful celebration that our daughter Aurora Raina Urker can look back on and see how our community welcomed and embraced her with love.

"She will be supported and given all the happiness a child should experience."

Gypsy Rose celebrated the occasion with Ken, as well as her sister Mia and stepmother Kristy, while her own father was away working offshore.

The expectant mom shared that the games they played were the "most memorable" part of the baby shower, including one where guests had to guess the size of Gypsy Rose's belly using a piece of yarn.

Gypsy Rose says that she feels "supported and happy" in the lead-up to this exciting new chapter in her life, and she hopes that she can give her own baby the life she never had growing up.

Throughout her young life, Gypsy Rose had been a victim of Munchausen by proxy at the hands of her mother, who'd fabricated a series of illnesses and conditions that she claimed her daughter had suffered from.

Gypsy Rose was forced to undergo several surgeries - including having her saliva glands removed, which causes her ongoing issues - and take medications and treatments she never needed.

Dee Dee would also keep Gypsy Rose confined to a wheelchair despite her being able to walk, and attempted to control every aspect of the young woman's life.

Gypsy Rose came up with a plan with a boyfriend she'd met online, Nicholas Godejohn, to free herself from the abuse by having him come to her house and kill her mother.

She was jailed after running away with him, and served eight years of a 10-year sentence for her part in planning the murder, while he was sentenced to life behind bars.

Having spent her childhood in and out of hospitals and having unnecessary surgeries and treatments, Gypsy Rose revealed the thing she is most looking forward to when becoming a mom herself.

She revealed it is: "Giving my daughter a happiness I never knew growing up."

Gypsy Rose first revealed her pregnancy in July, having filed for divorce from Ryan in April.

She recently revealed the results of a non-invasive prenatal paternity test and confirmed on November 5 that Ken is the father of the baby, after fans questioned the time scale between the two relationships.
