Halle Berry's response after ex Olivier Martinez accused her of choking their 12-year-old son
Halle Berry has responded to claims by her ex-husband Olivier Martinez that she choked their 12-year-old son following an altercation.
Martinez has filed a temporary restraining order against Berry and is now seeking sole custody of their son Maceo following recent events.
The filing requests that Bond star Berry must not drink or be under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the presence of their son. She must also submit to a sobriety test before, during or after any visitation.
Now, the Oscar-winning actress has finally spoken out about the accusations.

In a statement from Berry's attorney's seen by TMZ, they call Martinez's conduct 'outrageous' and that the Monster's Ball star is 'deeply saddened' by the accusations lobbied at her by her ex-husband.
Berry's attorney's state: "In a way, today’s filing is not entirely unexpected from an individual with a well-documented history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior.
"Fortunately, Halle is used to this kind of outrageous conduct from Mr. Martinez and, while she is deeply saddened, she will not allow it to deter her from fighting for Maceo’s best interests and providing him with the love and support he needs."
Alongside Maceo, Berry also has an older daughter, 18-year-old Nahla, whom she shares with former partner Gabriel Aubry.

Halle Berry is one of the most successful and popular actresses of her generation.
Starring as Storm in Fox's X-Men franchise and assassin Domino in James Bond film Die Another Day, her starring role in 2001 drama Monster's Ball saw her become the first, and so far only, Black woman to win the Academy Award for Best Actress.
Berry met fellow actor Olivier Martinez in 2010, following her split from model Gabriel Aubry, the father of her first child.
The couple was initially embroiled in controversy as Berry attempted to move her daughter from Los Angeles to France, to the home she then shared with Martinez.
Berry's request was denied and Aubry was successful in filing a restraining order against Martinez, following the two getting into an altercation over the custody dispute.
Berry and Martinez married in France in 2013, with Berry giving birth to their son Maceo that same year. However, by 2016, the couple had divorced.
As of 2020, Berry is dating the musician Van Hunt and the couple announced their engagement in 2025.
