Heartbreaking footage shared online has shown Jason Sudeikis asking die-hard fans to stop chasing after him for autographs.

In the video obtained by the outlet, Sudeikis was confronted by a group of persistent supporters who wanted his autograph.

The actor looked visibly uncomfortable as he begged the autograph seekers to stop following him down the street.

"Guys, please, stop, stop, I’m not going to sign anything,” he said, adding: “I literally have to go! I’m sorry, that was a lot, that scared the s*** out of me. For real, I’m just a human being. Please, I’m going home - good night.”

The We're The Millers star was seen walking toward a parking garage when one stubborn person tried to persuade him to sign another item. "Maybe as you stand and wait for your [vehicle]?" the fan said.

Many people on social media have rallied in support of Sudeikis' reaction to the fans.

One user wrote: "Jason Sudeikis' reaction is completely understandable. Constant fan pressure can be overwhelming, even for celebrities. Fans need to respect personal boundaries, recognizing that celebrities are people too, deserving of privacy and space just like anyone else."

Another said: "Love Jason for being honest! Celebrities are people too; we need to respect their boundaries."

"This is legit not cool. Real fans don’t behave like that. And if you’re following along with autograph hounds, that’s the wrong choice too. They’re scum. I hope Jason Sudeikis is okay," a third added.

The video of Sudeikis's interaction with fans comes after singer Chappell Roan went viral after sharing a TikTok about the intense fan culture.

The 26-year-old musician, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, blasted fans for expecting to have access to her at all times.

“I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous, whatever. I don’t care that it’s normal,” she said.

“I don’t want whatever the f*** you think you’re supposed to be entitled to whenever you see a celebrity," she continued. “I don’t give a f*** if you think it’s selfish of me to say no for a photo or for your time or for a hug – that’s not normal, that’s weird!”

The 'Good Luck Babe' musician, who recently revealed that she was diagnosed with severe depression, told The Guardian that she's "very turned off" by celebrity culture.

"Some girls have been in this so long that they’re used to that, but I’m not that girl," she said, adding: "I’m not gonna be a sweetie pie to a man who’s telling me to shut the f*** up," which is a reference to the moment she hit back at an unnamed photographer at the VMAs.
