Demi Rose: Instagrammer with 20m followers who suddenly vanished

One of the most popular Instagram models of the 2020s has been spotted, years after walking away from the social media platform.
Demi Rose Mawby, a model from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, UK, was one of the hottest names on social media.
With over 20 million followers at her peak, the influencer garnered hundreds of millions of likes across her posts, showing her posing in hotels, yachts, vacation destinations, and more over the years.
The Birmingham-born influencer made a name for herself and had brands desperate to work with her, with features in adverts across the UK.
Eventually, by 2021, she made an account on OnlyFans and saw the money roll in, with her company recording £1.25m ($1.65m) in assets.
Out of the blue, in April 2024, she unfollowed everyone and stopped posting, vanishing as turbulently as she appeared.

The model's final post showed her posing in a bikini while in an outdoor bath in Cappadocia, Turkey, and it was seen on her Instagram story almost two and a half years ago.
Her OnlyFans account has also remained inactive, while her last TikTok was uploaded in February of the same year of her disappearance.
Fans have long wondered where she went, but it looks like the answer has been revealed.
Some theorized that she may have been killed by a millionaire, but others suggested that her new life path may have something to do with the deaths of her parents when she was just 24.
Now 31, the former adult model lives in Ibiza, miles from the superclubs and glamorous lifestyle that tourists visit for.
She is believed to live nearer to the island's artistic area, close to the village of Santa Gertrudis, which is best known for being linked to the destination's hippy heritage.
According to the Daily Mail, her friends include a tarot consultant who describes herself as both a ‘modern-day mystic’ and a ‘soul coach’.
It's also been reported that Demi has been spending time with her cats while becoming involved with animal shelters.
Her company's finances have dropped since her change in lifestyle, with Demi Rose Productions Ltd reporting net assets of just £24,855 in April 2024, with her accounts for 2025 overdue.

While the Mail approached Demi for comment, a friend of hers stated that she was ‘not ready to talk... about her time offline’.
However, the Instagram model spoke to local publication Ibiza Style in 2024, revealing that living ‘away from the bustling nightlife that first captivated her’ resulted in her ‘profound gratitude’ for the peace.
They wrote at the time: "Over the past year, she has immersed herself in enjoying alcohol-free events, live music sessions, and spiritual practices such as yoga and sound healing.
"This holistic approach to life has allowed her to uncover a side of Ibiza that many visitors overlook."
It went on: "The contrast between the island’s energetic south and its serene north offers her the perfect balance."
"Her journey on the island is a testament to the transformative power of embracing one’s true self and finding peace in the midst of life’s challenges," they concluded.
