For many loved-up couples out there, anniversaries are that special time of the year where they get to spend some quality time with their loved one.
But, for Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Will Smith, their wedding anniversary is just another day.
In a recent episode of Red Table Talk, the Girls Trip actress revealed that the two don't feel the need to celebrate their big day because their relationship is based on so much more than that.

Speaking in an on-camera discussion with her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris, 65, and daughter Willow, 18, Jada claimed: "It’s more of a life partnership, so it’s not steeped in that day. We don’t really celebrate that day, any more, in that sense, because the context of our union is totally different."
The Hollywood couple got married on 31 December 1997, meaning they share their anniversary with many New Year's Eve parties.
However, it turns out welcoming the new year in isn't something the couple do together either: Jada also disclosed that she and her "life partner" have incredibly differing views on what makes a good New Year’s Eve, so often spend the day apart.
"Usually, Will on New Year’s likes to be in an adventure in the world somewhere. There’s no telling where he’s gonna be," she explained. "And I like to be inside, I don’t wanna be out in the world. He now has the freedom to go and have an awesome adventure of some kind."

This isn't the only time Jada has opened up about her relationship on the web television talk show. In an emotional episode back in October, she and Will spoke out about the day their "marriage came crashing down", with the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star stating they had to "destroy" the marriage as a way of repairing the relationship.
"We broke up within our marriage and got back together again. We had to rebuild with new rules and something way, completely different," he stated, after reminiscing about Jada's dramatic 40th birthday celebration.

In addition, in another episode, Jada shocked fans by confessing that she cried on their wedding day because she "never wanted to be married".
Stating she realised her life was "never going to be the same", she claimed: "I was under so much pressure being a young actress — being young, pregnant, I was just like, I didn't know what to do. But I knew I never wanted to be married."
She continued: "I was so upset that I had to have a wedding. I was so pissed. I went crying down the freaking aisle. I cried the whole way down the aisle."
