On October 22, the 39-year-old took to Instagram to share a video about his Beautifully Broken Tour, which is halfway over.

DeFord's clip started with him holding his guitar, and saying: “That’s why next year when y’all see me you won’t recognize me...I’m going to get under a pile of weights in a way that I never have."

Many fans took to the comment section to applaud him. "Way to be Jelly! Keep going! You are an inspiration in so many ways to so many people facing different challenges. Thank you!"

"This makes me so happy because we need Jelly Roll around a long time!!!" a second said, while a third added: "Hell ya!! Great job! You motivate so many in so many ways."

The video included DeFord's nutrition coach, Ian Larios, who said that the Grammy nominee has “been crushing it” on his tour.

He revealed that the artist lost weight by incorporating more exercise into his routine, such as playing basketball, boxing, and walking arenas before shows.

Larios also shared details about the 'Wild Ones' musician's diet, saying his “favorite pre-show snack is Bananas, however, he made it “a little fancier” by topping it with manuka honey, and dark chocolate sweetened with stevia, which “fueled [Jelly Roll] before the show".

The chef also stated that the singer was on a “high-protein diet,” with one of his post-show meals being Nashville hot chicken and French fries. But he helped prepare this meal more healthily by “[fueling] away the oil and batter” in the dish, and boiling the fries in bone broth to “up the protein".

The video concluded with the 'Son of a Sinner' vocalist marveling at how much his body has changed since he embarked on his journey.

“When I see y’all in March for Canada, dawg, y’all aren’t gonna recognize me,” he quipped.

The 'Need a Favor' musician previously opened up about his health during an interview with PEOPLE in April.

He spoke about how he was staying fit and noted that at the time he’d already lost “70-something pounds".

“I’ve been really kicking a**, man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now,” he explained.

Roll revealed that he was feeling “really good," before disclosing his next weight-loss goals: "I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds]."

"If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour,” he added at the time.

Congratulations on your achievements, Roll!
