Jenna Fischer has publicly shown her support for The Office UK star Lucy Davis, who announced that she has been diagnosed with incurable Stage 4 breast cancer.
The British actress, best known for playing receptionist Dawn Tinsley in the BBC series from 2001-2003, released a heartbreaking message confirming the diagnosis.
She admitted that she didn't know "how long" she had left, writing on Instagram that the cancer had metastasized to her bones.
Davis also shared a video alongside the lengthy statement, where she is seen ringing a bell.
The Shaun of the Dead star recalled feeling a "hard spot" in one of her breasts that was "really tiny," so she nearly ignored it, though she urged fans to "not ignore anything" in her warning.
Now, The Office US star Jenna Fischer has offered her support.
Fischer, who played Pam, the American version of Davis' Dawn, wrote in the comments below her post: “Beautiful post. Love you lots. And yes to working with cancer! Let’s spread that message far and wide! How working is such a comfort!”
Back in 2024, Fischer revealed that she had been diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple Positive breast cancer herself, just one year prior.
Luckily, she underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, and she announced that she was "cancer-free."
But the actress behind Pam Beesly wasn't the only big name to show their support, as The Office creator Ricky Gervais addded a heart in the comments, while fellow actress Sarah Paulson said: "Sending you love love love you are and always have been full of magic," among others showing support.
This isn't Davis' first significant health scare, as four years before starring in The Office, she underwent a kidney transplant which was donated by her mother, after being diagnosed with kidney failure.
In admitting that she had "kept her diagnosis to herself for a while," Davis wrote: "Hi friends, I wanted to share something with you all that I’ve kept to myself for a while but for various reasons would like to share now.
"A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer, which has metastasized to my bones. Specifically to my spine, right hip, and my ribs. The cancer is incurable, and too late for chemo.
"The initial lump that I felt, wasn’t a ‘lump’ as such; rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny. I almost didn’t bother getting it checked. So I guess I’m saying don’t ignore anything - get everything checked out," with a smiley face emoji.
She went on: "As of now, I’m trying to live out whatever might be left of my life in as fun a way as I possibly can. I always like to find the teachable moments in anything negative that happens. And cancer has not disappointed in that regard; there’s a lot I have learned from it, and I’m grateful for that.
"As some of you will know, the pain can really be something else. Standing and walking for too long a time can be hard, and I need to use a wheelchair sometimes (so if you see me toddling around in one, feel free to give me a push!)
"The thing that has been most vital to me is humour. I asked my friends and family to make fun of me as much as possible (which they’re really good at), and most importantly of all to not treat me like a sick person. There’s nothing that will make you feel more unwell than being treated as if you’re unwell.
"I’m not scared of whatever comes next. I’m at peace with it. I’ll see my Gracie [her late dog] sooner than expected, and for me, leaving my physical body just means going home. Any and all grieving is for my family; it’s far harder for them than for me.
"I’m still going to keep up all my work for animal rights. It’s so important to me and I still would like to keep working. I’m perfectly able to do so, and acting is one of the biggest joys in my life."
The actress then concluded: "For those of you on a similar journey to mine, I do wish you well. Cancer asks a lot from us, physically and mentally. And we all get to do it however we choose."

Jenna Fischer has revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer in a heartfelt post on social media.
The Office star, 50, is best known for playing Pam Beesly in the hit sitcom, revealed that she had been diagnosed last year and had undergone treatment.
She took to Instagram on Tuesday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month as she shared her own experience with the disease.
Jenna told her followers: "October is breast cancer awareness month. I never thought I’d be making an announcement like this but here we are.
"Last December, I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Triple Positive Breast Cancer. After completing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation I am now cancer free."
She added: "Back in October 2023, I posted a photo of myself on Instagram preparing for my routine mammogram with a joking reminder to ‘take care of your ticking time bags’ a la Michael Scott.
"After inconclusive results on that mammogram due to dense breast tissue my doctor ordered a breast ultrasound.
"They found something in my left breast. A biopsy was ordered. Then, on December 1, 2023, I learned I had stage 1 triple positive breast cancer."
She added that while triple positive breast cancer is "aggressive", it is also "highly responsive" to treatment, and while hers was caught early before it had spread to her lymph nodes, she still required chemo and radiotherapy to ensure it did not return.
Jenna also told her followers: "I lost my hair during chemotherapy but thanks to some great wigs and hats with hair (which my family affectionately called Wigats) I have been able to wait until now to reveal all that has been going on for me.
"I’m making this announcement for a few reasons. One, I’m ready to ditch the wigs. Two, to implore you to get your annual mammograms. You can also ask your doctor to calculate your Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score and get any additional screenings required. I’m serious, call your doctors right now."
She explained: "If I had waited six months longer, things could have been much worse. It could have spread.
"Seeing women post photos of their mammogram appointments on Instagram needled me into setting my own (which I was late for). I’m so glad I did. Consider this your kick in the butt to get it done."
Jenna also thanked the "village" of people who'd helped her through her cancer journey, from the doctors and nurses who treated her to her friends and family who kept her spirits high and helped out with day-to-day life.
She added: "Don't skip your mammogram. Take it from Pam and her Pam Pams. Michael was right. Get 'em checked, ladies. And know that should you get a breast cancer diagnosis, there is a village waiting to care for you."
Jenna also shared a joyful photo of her celebrating the end of her treatment by ringing a bell in her backyard as her husband Lee Kirk and kids, son Weston Lee and daughter Harper Marie, threw confetti around her to mark the moment.
She also confirmed that a re-screening had shown that the treatment had worked and she has remained cancer-free.

Ellie Kemper, who played Erin, gave Jenna a jar of raisin crisps from Trader Joe's. During the filming of one episode, the pair ate "about four boxes of them" on set.
Angela Kinsey
Angela Kinsey, who played Angela, gave Jenna a shirt with a loaf of bread on it. If you follow Jenna on Instagram, like Angela does, you know that she's become obsessed with baking bread recently.
Ed Helms
Ed Helms, who played Andy, gave Jenna a banjo, which is really his hobby, not hers, but hey - what do you expect from Andy? Jenna said that sometimes during lunch Ed would play the banjo and Creed would play the guitar.
But the best present came from Steve Carell, who gave Jenna...himself in a giant box. A very Michael Scott thing to do, and what could be better? When Steve popped out, he genuinely surprised Jenna. Then she cracked up and gave him a hug, while wiping tears of laughter from her face.

In a follow-up interview on the couch, Jenna said she "wasn't expecting a human being" to be inside the box, let alone Steve Carell. Busy remarked, "Steve, you were in for a while. I'm so sorry about that." To which Steve replied, "No, it was a great conversation." Jenna offered to "drive some bread over" to his house a thank you," and Steve exclaimed, "I know all about it now!"

And thus concludes the most recent Office mini-reunion. Will there ever be an official revival? Who knows? Personally, I want Threat Level Midnight 2.Married At First Sight expert Mel Schilling has revealed the early symptoms she experienced before being diagnosed with bowel cancer.
As previously reported, the 54-year-old, who appears on both the Australian and UK versions of the hit reality show, said this week that doctors have told her there is nothing more they can do after the disease spread to her brain.
In a recent message to fans, Schilling - who had been diagnosed with colon cancer in December 2023 - explained that her condition worsened after new symptoms appeared late last year.
"Over Christmas, however, I began experiencing blinding headaches and numbness down my right side. After many tests, I was told the cancer had spread to the left side of my brain and, despite subsequent radiotherapy sessions, my oncology team have now told me there is nothing further they can do," she penned on Instagram.
The television star revealed that the news has drastically changed her outlook on life.
Schilling said she was initially hopeful about her chances after undergoing extensive treatment over the past two years while continuing to film Married at First Sight.
"Unfortunately, in late February 2024, during a routine scan, small nodules were discovered in my lungs. The cancer had metastasised, and my world changed again in an instant.
"Over the past two years, while filming MAFS, I underwent 16 rounds of chemotherapy and was later told I was eligible for a groundbreaking clinical trial specific to my gene type, due to start in March 2026. Once again, my optimism soared that I might beat this thing."
But following the spread of the disease to her brain, doctors told her there were no further treatment options available.
Schilling has been open about the warning signs she experienced before discovering she had bowel cancer.
According to Occtopus – Oxford Colon Cancer Trust, she shared that she was concerned after she started losing her appetite, which caused noticeable weight loss.
Schilling also struggled with cramps and constipation and found she could not keep food or water down. Despite these symptoms, she said she never noticed blood in her stool.
After returning to the UK and speaking with her GP about the symptoms, she was referred for a CT scan, which revealed a tumor the size of a lemon.
Doctors later removed a five-centimeter tumor during surgery, which Schilling had nicknamed "Terry."
In her latest update, Schilling said the illness has made even basic daily activities challenging and that she is now relying heavily on her family.
"My light is starting to fade... Simple tasks have become incredibly difficult, and I am relying on my beautiful family to look after me. I honestly don't know how long I have left, but I do know I will fight to my last breath and will be surrounded by the love and support of my people," she said.
Despite the devastating news, Schilling thanked supporters who have sent messages since the start of her cancer journey.
"At the outset of this journey, so many of you sent the most wonderful messages of support. They have meant more than I can ever properly express and have helped shape the mindset I've needed to keep fighting," she penned.
"If I could leave you with one thing, it would simply be this: if something doesn’t feel right, please get it checked out. It might just save your life," she concluded.
Shannen Doherty has revealed the heartbreaking news that her stage four breast cancer has spread to her bones.
The 52-year-old 90210 star was first diagnosed with stage four cancer back in 2020. At the time, the actress told Good Morning America that she was "petrified", saying: "It's going to come out in a matter of days or week that I am stage four. So my cancer came back and that's why I am here."
She added: "I don't think I've processed it. It's a bitter pill to swallow in a lot of ways. There's definitely days when I say 'why me', and then I go, 'well, why not me, who else besides me deserves this?' None of us do."
Now, in a devastating update to PEOPLE, Doherty has revealed that her cancer has spread to her bones.
She bravely told the outlet: "I don’t want to die."
Despite the revelation, Doherty is remaining positive, saying: "I’m not done with living. I’m not done with loving. I’m not done with creating. I’m not done with hopefully changing things for the better [...] I’m just not — I’m not done."
In total, the actress has been battling cancer for eight years, and even went into remission in 2017.
She now wants to use her platform to continue raising awareness about cancer - especially the fact that people with terminal cancer still have plenty to provide to the world - saying: "When you ask yourself, ‘Why me? Why did I get cancer?’ and then ‘Why did my cancer come back? Why am I stage 4?,’ that leads you to look for the bigger purpose in life."
"It’s insane to me [that] we still don’t have a cure," Doherty added.
She has also revealed that she will be launching a podcast called Let's Be Clear. "I will be opening up like never before in a series of brutally honest conversations with some very special and influential people in my life," she revealed in an Instagram post. "From former co-stars, to friends and family, to the brilliant doctors guiding me through my cancer journey...it's going to be a wild ride."
The Beverly Hills, 90210 actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, which had spread to her lymph nodes. She was later declared to be in remission in 2017 after having undergone a mastectomy as well as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
She revealed in February 2020 that the cancer had returned a year prior and was now stage four, and devastatingly revealed in June 2023 that it had spread to her brain.
"I am clearly trying to be brave but I am petrified," she said in a post to her fans at the time. "The fear was overwhelming to me. Scared of all possible bad outcomes, worried about leaving my mom and how that would impact her. Worried that I would come out of surgery not me anymore. This is what cancer can look like"
Back in September, the star took part in a panel with her 90210 co-stars, where she was honored with a standing ovation from the cast and fans, which left her overwhelmed with emotion and wiping away the tears.
"Thank you so much," she said, before joking: "You guys know how much I love crying constantly. And I do, it seems. So, thank you."
Back in April, she also filed for divorce from her husband Kurt Iswarienko after 12 years of marriage.
