Jennifer Lopez has reportedly revealed her thoughts about the shocking surveillance footage of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Last week, CNN released a damning video of the now-54-year-old rapper appearing to brutally assault and drag his then-girlfriend at the now-defunct InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.

The leaked video - dated March 5, 2016 - comes after the 'Me & U' singer filed a now-resolved federal lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023, accusing him of physically and sexually abusing her for years.

The video begins with the 'I'll Be Missing You' artist, formerly known as Puff Daddy, exiting a room at the hotel room while holding a towel around his waist.

He then runs after Ventura and grabs her by the back of the neck, before throwing her to the floor near the hotel's elevators.

The 'Long Way To Go' star's attempt to regain composure is met with further aggression from Combs, who, still donning a towel and socks, appears to shove her before launching objects in her direction.

The father-of-seven shared a response following the intense backlash over the surveillance footage and called his behavior “inexcusable”.

He said he “takes full responsibility for his actions in the video," and referred to the incident as “one of the darkest times in his life," adding: "I was f***ed up - I hit rock bottom - but I make no excuses."

According to a report by the Daily Mail, Lopez reportedly shared her thoughts on the incident.

The 54-year-old 'On the Floor' musician started a relationship with Combs in 1999 and the two dated for two years before splitting in 2001. Lopez revealed in a 2003 interview with Vibe that infidelity was the reason for the separation.

A source alleged to the outlet that the 'I'm Real' singer is "aware" of the leaked video and is "tremendously disappointed" in Diddy.

"Jen is not going to address the accusations or take time to talk about them because it is not her story to tell," they claimed. "If she is asked about it in a future interview, she will cross that path as and when it happens, but she won't address it publicly and will not put herself in that conversation on purpose."

The insider added that the artist had a "tumultuous" relationship with Combs years ago and finds what he has been accused of as "heartbreaking".

"It is disgusting for her to see that someone, who at one point in her life was someone she put so much trust in, has ended up turning into a very damaged human being. It is disturbing to see," they added.

On Tuesday (May 21), the former chart-topper was sued by model Crystal McKinney, who accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2003, per PEOPLE. She is seeking unspecified damages and claims Combs blackballed her after the alleged incident.

Alongside McKinney and Ventura, the music mogul has been sued for sexual harassment and sexual assault by three other women and one man. Once again, he has denied the allegations against him.
