Keanu Reeves has continued to prove why he's the "nicest guy in Hollywood", after making a young fan's day in Houston.

The actor and musician showcased his down-to-earth demeanor after he was spotted playing an impromptu game of catch with a young fan right outside the House of Blues in Houston.

Elijah, a nine-year-old fan, couldn't have predicted the adventure waiting for him when he set out with his brother, Caleb, and grandmother, Annette Cruz, when they went out to possibly "meet Keanu".

Cruz, who regards meeting celebrities as her "fishing" hobby and boasts of having met over 100 stars - including big names like Jeremy Renner and Post Malone - believed they might strike gold that day. And they certainly did when they bumped into the John Wick star.

The spotlight-stealing moment unfolded when young Elijah bravely approached Reeves with a football in hand. Recalling the thrilling moment to KHOU11's Janelle Bludau, Elijah said: "I was really nervous because I was playing catch with a famous superstar."

He admitted to initially not catching what Reeves mumbled in response to his catch request, but upon asking again, was elated to hear the star say: "Yeah come on, let's go."

Those exhilarating 30 seconds of playing catch with Reeves not only made Elijah's day but was deemed the "top moment" of his life. And if that wasn't enough, Reeves sweetened the deal by complimenting the youngster's throw. Elijah wasn't the only one to secure a memory for life, though, as brother Caleb also got a cherished selfie with the star.

The heartwarming encounter stands as a testament to Reeves' down-to-earth nature, a quality that endears him to fans of all ages across the world. As Cruz reminisced about the day, she said that it was one that "the boys will always remember."

And it seems Elijah’s sentiment encapsulates the essence of the day perfectly. Clutching the football, he joyfully declared: "I’m keeping [the football] forever and ever."

This is just another example of Keanu Reeves being the "nicest guy in Hollywood", as fans have frequently flooded social media with tales of praise for the Matrix star.

Who could forget back in 2019, when a tweet went viral after a fan spotted a pattern in multiple photos of the actor with different women?

In each picture, Reeves’ hand is slightly hovering above the waists and arms of the women, not actually making any physical contact with them.

Reeves even extends the respectful gesture when posing with fellow female celebrity friends, such as Dolly Parton.

In an Instagram post that the country singer posted back in 2019, Reeves’ hand can be seen hovering just behind Parton’s back. Let's take a closer look:

In fact, not only does Reeves also extend the gesture to men, but he will also sometimes keep his hands in his pockets to avoid any touching - such as when he met AEW wrestler Kenny Omega at an airport:

Or, once again, with fans:

The gesture earned Reeves the nickname of the ‘respectful king’ - another perfect moniker for one of the most beloved actors on the planet. Keep doing you, Keanu!
