Keanu Reeves turns 59 today!
One of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs and kindest stars is celebrating the big five-nine today, and we can't help but gush over him.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), thousands of fans left kind messages for the John Wick actor to read.
"Happy 59th birthday to the most humble legend in Hollywood, Keanu Reeves," wrote one user.
"Happy Birthday to this beautiful man, I hope he has the best birthday ever and the most wonderful time on his special day," another added. "Happy 59th birthday Keanu Reeves, thank you for keeping me happy."
A third also shared a heartwarming clip taken a few years back which showed the actor taking the subway when a woman came and stood next to him holding her bag. A few seconds later, Reeves asks the lady if she would like to sit down and gets up to hold the rail instead.
"Happy Birthday Keanu Reeves," the fan wrote alongside the clip.
In honor of the star's birthday, Pop Crave asked fans to share their favorite performance from the actor," to which, X users commented on a range of Reeves' most iconic performances including John Wick, The Matrix, and Point Break.
Others also pointed out that there isn't a performance that he has ever delivered badly on - which is just straight facts.
Speaking about making his acting dreams come true during an interview with Esquire, Reeves opened up about self-motivation and how "escapism" spurred him on to make a name for himself.

"Yeah, I would imagine," Reeves agreed with the interviewer when asked if his "disruptive" home life had anything to do with his determination.
"I guess it's that nature/nurture kind of concept. Definitely I wouldn't say it didn't have an impact. Who can say whether or not those influences happen [to make a difference]? But I think it has to be in your temperament as well. I have a pretty self-motivated temperament. Even when I was a kid. 'Let's go make something!' 'Let's do something!' 'Yeah!'"
"But I loved to go to the movies as a kid and I loved watching movies," he continued. "I don't know if it was escapism. Even the act of going outside to the movies for me, and watching them in a room. I wanted to be there, you know?" he says. "I wanted to do that. And that happened in Hollywood! So, I wanted to act in movies. In Hollywood. It was my dream! Whatever that meant. You know?"
After working on over 80+ projects during his career, which has now spanned over four long decades, you would think that a man so accomplished wouldn't be worrying about adding more accolades to his list, but Reeves has other plans.
"I’ve wanted to get as much done as I can before that turning tape runs out," he revealed during an interview with the Guardian back in 2021. "When you’re young, you have a big old reel of that tape left, right? And so it appears to revolve slowly. Then, time passes, and there’s less and less tape left on the reel. It spins faster. It spins faster."

Beyond just his massive blockbusters, Reeves has also dabbled in other art forms such as theatre, music, and poetry, all of which he has seen success in. Most recently, he set the music world abuzz when he reunited with his band, Dogstar, for the first time in two decades.
No matter how much time passes though, Reeves will always be known as one of the kindest and most talented men in Hollywood.
Happy birthday to the nicest man in Hollywood!
