Kim Kardashian just dyed her hair blonde to make Kanye happy

Kim Kardashian has come a long way from being Paris Hilton's assistant. In the span of ten years, she has not only been credited for "breaking the internet", but also as the proprietor of the "belfie". Further, over the past year, she has been following in the footsteps of the family's in-house beauty entrepreneur, Kylie Jenner, and has launched an eponymous line of products.

But in spite of her clearly very hectic schedule, (season 14 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians has just wrapped) she has proved to be incredibly family-orientated. The 37-year-old has three children with her husband, Kanye West. The most recent addition is Chicago, who was delivered via surrogate back in January - following Kim's gestational complications, which involved placenta accreta and preeclampsia.

However, it appears that Kim will go to incredible lengths to ensure that her husband - who she just celebrated her four year anniversary with - is happy. In fact, as a "gift" to him, the reality television star dyed her hair the way he likes it: blonde.

Yesterday, Kim posted several videos to her Instagram story, sporting her freshly dyed, platinum blonde locks. "I'm back blonde," she declared in one of the clips. "Kanye's favourite is blonde, so I did it for our anniversary."

While the majority of us wouldn't put ourselves through a hair-destroying bleach job for our husbands, we have to say it's pretty sweet, and regardless, Kim is a strong, independent woman who can dye her hair as she sees fit.

Kim Kardashian certainly takes her hair seriously. In an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim was accompanying her mother, Kris Jenner, to earlobe reduction surgery (yes, really), when she revealed what would happen to her hair in the event of an accident. "I put in my will that I have to always have my hair done if I am like, cannot talk to myself, or like, communicate," Kim said, before assuring her mother that she'd do her the same courtesy if anything were to happen.

"I will make sure that your hair is always done if you don’t know your name,’ she reassured Kris. "You’ll have great hair." Well, you know what they say - it's your family that always has your back.

The 37-year-old has recently been accused of promoting eating disorders after sharing an advertisement for an "appetite suppressant lollipop" on Instagram.

The image, which shows Kim sucking on a red lollipop, is an endorsement for Flat Tummy Co, a company which sells "detox" teas and shakes as meal replacements. But given that Kim's audience includes impressionable young girls - many of whom regard her as a "role model" - it's a highly irresponsible move to make.

"You guys… @flattummyco just dropped a new product," Kim wrote. "They’re Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they’re literally unreal. They’re giving the first 500 people on their website 15% OFF so if you want to get your hands on some… you need to do it quick! #suckit."

Naturally, the people of the internet were not impressed, and branded the endorsement as "disgusting" and "reckless".
