In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian learned that a new brain scan revealed “low brain activity.” She underwent imaging with Dr. Daniel Amen — a specialist known for brain imaging — who evaluated her brain health. Kardashian and Scott Disick both participated in the scan during the show.
Kardashian, 45, had previously revealed that she has had a brain aneurysm for years — something she appeared to partly blame on her ex Kanye West. The aneurysm was first detected through a Prenuvo scan, which she shared with her sister.
The new scan offered both reassurance and concern. While Dr. Amen confirmed that Kardashian is “not terribly stressed, not anxious and not depressed,” he also flagged reduced activity in parts of her brain — a finding that raised red flags given her busy schedule.
What the scan revealed
Dr. Amen told Kardashian that the “front part of your brain is less active than it should be.” He warned that with her current frontal lobe activity, “it would be harder to manage stress” — a problem especially relevant while she prepares for her upcoming bar exam.
Despite the low activity, the doctor said she “does not have a high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.”

Upon hearing the scan results, Kardashian responded, “That just can't be — not accepting.” She admitted that she needs to take action, saying, “I got to get on a plan to really figure this out because I have some s**t to do this summer.” Kardashian acknowledged that the findings were serious and indicated a need for changes in her lifestyle.
Stress and past health history may be linked
Dr. Amen suggested that the reduced brain activity could be tied to “chronic stress.” Kardashian believes this stress stems from two major life pressures: studying for the California bar exam and the fallout from her 2022 divorce from Kanye West (who now goes by Ye).
Kardashian previously told her sister, “I did a Prenuvo scan, and they called me today, and they’re like, 'Everything looks great. But you have an aneurysm in your brain.'”
She added, “It’s been there for years. It was here a few years ago.” She also said she had consulted brain surgeon Keith Black, who recommended further imaging. Doctors reportedly told her that “What makes it rupture?” is largely stress.
This scan marks a new chapter in Kardashian’s health journey as she tries to balance long‑term health concerns with a high-pressure life and major upcoming milestones.
