Kourtney Kardashian slammed on social media after wearing 'Vote Kanye' hat
Kourtney Kardashian has been slammed on social media this week, after sharing a pic of herself wearing a hat which reads: "Vote Kanye"
Per a recent report by Fox News, the trouble began on Thursday, October 15, when the 41-year-old reality TV star took to her official Instagram account and uploaded a picture of herself to her Stories.
In a post shared with her 102 million followers, made in conjunction with a Poosh blog post on her website about stylish voter merchandise, Kourtney can be seen striking a pose in a selfie, wearing a black baseball cap that reads: "Vote Kanye."
The hat is, of course, a reference to Kanye West's presidential campaign, as the acclaimed 43-year-old rapper is running for office as an independent candidate in 12 states.
In the aftermath of Kourtney's post, a number of other social media users came out of the woodwork to criticize her support for her brother-in-law, with some accusing her of facetiousness in the run-up to a very important election.
For instance, drag performer and RuPaul's Drag Race winner Kameron Michaels tweeted: "I had to check for myself I don’t care if this is a mistake or a joke. Your platform is too big for you to do anything irresponsible like this. Fix it."

Meanwhile, lifestyle and beauty YouTuber Nicol Concilio wrote: "Omg that is absolutely atrocious. I’m appalled. Even if it is a joke she has MILLIONSS of followers."
She added: "Also has she even said a damn thing about the election at all?? I really can’t believe this s***. [sic]"

Kanye West first announced his intention to run for president on Twitter on July 4, 2020.
In a post made to his 30.9 million followers, he wrote:
"We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! ?? #2020VISION [sic]"

According to a post by The Atlantic, West's platform endorses environmentalism, supports the arts, national defense, and advocates the restoration of the restoring school prayer, while opposing abortion and capital punishment.
